chili_con_carne Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 what has happened to our fans since we have been taken over. everyone seem to think we are suddenly a massive club, you moan like its the end of the world when we lose a game and moan about having any other manager apart from mon. Lee clarke is no good, roy keane is no good, billy davies is no good etc etc. Seriously they are all top managers, everyone is going over the top about roy keane, and sending emails to susan whelan is beyond embarrasing. I really wouldnt mind keane in charge. So basically everyone needs to stop being so greedy and ignorant about leicester. Plus if we won our first 5 games under keane you would all be saying hes god and the new mon cringe
dannythefox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Roy Keane is NOT the man for the job the fans wont get behind him he's hated by many people!
Babylon Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Roy Keane is NOT the man for the job I believe results will dictate that.
dannythefox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I believe results will dictate that. IF he says long enough and doesn't walk away when the going gets tough! Plenty more to choose from which are BETTER championship managers.
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Its our club and we can do what we like. We pay our money and as such, if people wish to moan then that's up to them
Guest MattP Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 You really don't get it do you? He could win 50 games on the trot, led us to champions league and I'll still the see the day we employed the violent , aggressive selfish psychopath as a stain on the football club.
Babylon Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Plenty more to choose from which are BETTER championship managers. I don't disagree, I would find it a bit strange. But I certainly wouldn't write him off before he's kicked a tea cup in anger.

Plus if we won our first 5 games under keane you would all be saying hes god and the new mon cringe I agree with that. I do have my own reserves about Keane though. There is no doubt the players will have the discipline which seems to have been missing since Pearson, but I am not totally sure. Anyway, whoever is appoited, I will support and I am totally sure people will change their minds about Keane depending on the results.
Finnegan Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Keane is shit. We aren't being billy-big-balls not wanting him, quite the opposite. What we don't want is a 'big name' for the sakes of it. I think most people would be happy with Clark but when we can apparently attract the like of Sven and Hughes I can sympathise with anyone who's underwhelmed by Dave Jones et all. As for our results, we've been shit and have spent fvckloads - people are justified in their anxiety.
bluebeau Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 It's not a matter of we think we are a big club! We (majority) don't want this bloody animal anywhere near our football club, I can't stand the man. He has no personality, cold as ice & so far has proved absolutely bloody useless as a manager. If he is appointed as our new manager, I will never take to him even if he was to get us promoted. Personally I like to feel that there is some connection between the fans & the manager & I for one will never have any admiration for this animal, so piss of Keane & keep away from my football club.......you are not wanted here!!! This is the first time that I have ever made a comment on FT regarding the prospective appointment of our new manager, that's how strongly I feel about this rumour. I just hope & pray it doesn't happen.
nickelbyfox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 You really don't get it do you? He could win 50 games on the trot, led us to champions league and I'll still the see the day we employed the violent , aggressive selfish psychopath as a stain on the football club. So he leads us to the champinos league and you would still hold a grudge
kam6 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 at the end of it all, the men at the "TOP" will decide who they appoint. Not our decision so just support your team and shut up! i still think that who ever is appointed, they will get us up as we have the squad for it and they will have mega bucks to spend in needed in Jan. UP THE FOXES!!!
Guest MattP Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 So he leads us to the champinos league and you would still hold a grudge Yes, I dont like him as a person. It's not a "grudge" it's an opinion formed on his behaviour I've witnessed over the last 15 years. Would you be happy with a child rapist if he led you to the champions league?

Plus if we won our first 5 games under keane you would all be saying hes god and the new mon cringe This is a football forum and people will post what they want to post, within reason... if its out of order the Mods will sort it out. Lets analyse your daft post: 1. We arent suddenly a 'massive club' but certainly one of the biggest in the Championship. We have a large stadium, a big fan base and money.. this raises the level of expectation 2. As many people on here have been positive about possible managers, as have been negative, with the exception of Keane. Thats the raison detre of a forum. Most people have said they would like Clark here, for instance, or Hughes. 3. Who is being 'greedy or ignorant'...all we want is success for the club, both on the field and off it. 4. If Roy Keane won his first 20 games we wouldnt say hes the 'new Martin O'Neil'..they are different managers, people, with different personalities. Your post sounds like nothing but a rant..please try harder.. I'm really positive about the future, am glad that the owners had the balls to get rid of Sven, but don't want Keane, as I genuinely think he's mentally unhinged. There is a difference between assertiveness and aggression. Management by 'fear' doesnt usually work. Thats my point of view, Im posting it Ok with you?
Babylon Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 So he leads us to the champinos league and you would still hold a grudge I don't get it either. Unless the man has personally done something to you or your loved ones, that kind of rage doesn't make sense to me. But hey, each to their own and all that.

Ricey Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I don't disagree, I would find it a bit strange. But I certainly wouldn't write him off before he's kicked a tea cup in anger. I wouldn't write him off but looking at his record, surely it doesn't fill you with confidence? Also, have you ever had an opinion that has gone along with the masses? Always seems you disagree with whatever the general consensus is.

In my opinion Babylon posts some of the most balanced, thought-out stuff on here..which is definately needed with some of the ranting that goes on.

chili_con_carne Posted 2 November 2011 Author Posted 2 November 2011 i dont even think keane will be the new manager. Like i said in the other roy keane thread i work in a bookies and the odds mean nothing. They dont have a clue who will be the manager.
Babylon Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 So cnuts are ok as long as they don't mistreat you? I dont understand that. Sorry, has he raped or killed someone that I don't know about? We're talking about a footballer not Fred West. He's a bit of a knob is you believe his media portrayal, but I don't really know him personally to judge him completely on that side of stuff. He was a thug on the pitch, but so was Steve Walsh and everyone thinks he is a legend around these parts.
MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 You really don't get it do you? Do I smell prejudice?
BlueBlue Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Can't understand why anyone would be underwhelmed by Dave Jones when all he has lacked is the right kind of backing. He did wonders at Stockport, was on the right lines at Southampton, but received no backing during a spurious court case and was underfunded ( not the clubs fault ) at Cardiff. He may not have the right media profile, but as we have seen, some of those flatter to deceive.
