Sniffer-Clarke Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Top as stated that the new manager MUST be able to motivate players & fans,i think RK as a reputation for falling out with players so IMO i cannot see this happening
Finnegan Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Mate, sorry, but he had a fantastic side at Cardiff and repeatedly failed to get out the league. He is a nice bloke and it's tragic the slander that was put on him. But he's a mediocre journeyman at best.
Babylon Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I wouldn't write him off but looking at his record, surely it doesn't fill you with confidence? He doesn't no, there are many people I would much rather have than him. But if he comes then I will give him a chance like every other manager. I'd be more concerned with what he did at Ipswich than the fact I don't really like him, but people seem to focus on the latter. Also, have you ever had an opinion that has gone along with the masses? Always seems you disagree with whatever the general consensus is. Dunno, you'd need to give examples. If you mean I don't go along with the reactionary masses, and form my own opinions on things that than go along with what's popular then, yes you're correct. If you read my posts I actually very rarely pin my colours to any mast. Mainly because I don't pretend to have a clue how things will work out. I will often stand up for managers and players against over the top critisism, and this tend to lead to people labeling me a "Sven Bummer" and the like. But in that instance I don't think I ever said he'd be great, or that he'd definitely work out. Only that I wanted him to be given the amount of time I think a manager should.
Master Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 You really don't get it do you? He could win 50 games on the trot, led us to champions league and I'll still the see the day we employed the violent , aggressive selfish psychopath as a stain on the football club. B0llox. You're talking shit. Shut up and stop posting.
bluebeau Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Hmm... Do I smell prejudice? No Sir, that's the truth you are smelling! I don't want that animal anywhere near my football club!!! Apart from the colour of their skin, what's the difference between Keane & Robert Mugabe?
BIEREDeLuxe Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Roy Keane Former Clubs: Sunderland, Ipswich Town Managerial record: P181 W70 D42 L69 Win percentage as a manager: 39% http://foxblogger.wordpress.com/2011/10/30/the-candidates-by-the-numbers/

MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 No Sir, that's the truth you are smelling! I don't want that animal anywhere near my football club!!! Apart from the colour of their skin, what's the difference between Keane & Robert Mugabe? Err... one's a controversial footballer-turned-manager from Ireland, the other a psychotic dictator who's been responsible for a mass exodus of White Zimbabweans and brought the country to ruins, with all the wealth from Diamonds and Platinum sales going into his and his cronies' pockets? Can you get any more far-fetched in your comparisons?
absolutelegend Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 To the person who started this thread: It is not about whether he is a good manager or not (although I haven't seen any evidence that he is), it's about the characteristics and personality of the man, and whether he has the right management style to represent our club. I don't believe he does. I know a lot of LCFC fans who share this opinion. I am not sure why you used the terms greedy and ignorant - they aren't relevant to this discussion - it's not about us expecting to have Jose Morinho and LCFC manager. For what it's worth, I'd be happy with the other Managers you mentioned in your initial post - I don't have the same types of issues with them and I would be happy with either.
shade Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I don't get it either. Unless the man has personally done something to you or your loved ones, that kind of rage doesn't make sense to me. But hey, each to their own and all that. pol pot never did anything to me or my loved ones, but i'm pretty sure i wouldn't have liked him.
TMELcfc Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 If fans have written to the club about the possible appointment of Roy Keane, I applausd them He is the WRONG choice, in so many ways... Steve McClaren to us = Roy Keane to Norwich supporters. He is USELESS!!!!!
MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Roy Keane being likened to Mugabe and Pol Pot? This is not a jukebox where you can make your own pick. Get real. Oh, Leicester City fans.
Babylon Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 pol pot never did anything to me or my loved ones, but i'm pretty sure i wouldn't have liked him. Are you people for real? Roy Keane is a footballer turned manager who has a rep of being a bit nasty, he is not Robert Mugabe or Pol Pot. Steve Walsh, what a willy puller. He's no better than Hitler. FFS.
BIEREDeLuxe Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Mugabe's just entered the betting at 25/1. I swear the bookies are skim reading this forum. Worth a punt? I wonder when we will get a sighting of him in The Marriott? Apparently he's barred from Morrisons owing to his farming policy.
Heskey2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 what has happened to our fans since we have been taken over. everyone seem to think we are suddenly a massive club, you moan like its the end of the world when we lose a game and moan about having any other manager apart from mon. Lee clarke is no good, roy keane is no good, billy davies is no good etc etc. Seriously they are all top managers, everyone is going over the top about roy keane, and sending emails to susan whelan is beyond embarrasing. I really wouldnt mind keane in charge. So basically everyone needs to stop being so greedy and ignorant about leicester. Plus if we won our first 5 games under keane you would all be saying hes god and the new mon cringe To be honest, i think the negativity from supporters is down to the fact that they know Sven was by far the best manager we could hope to have at this club, and now looking at the managers we're linked with i'm not exactly excited by any of them. Most of our 'team' are there because of Sven, and decent managers wouldn't risk their careers on managing a team that is not of their own making and who are disjointed, un motivated and also have owners who will panic and make rash decisions should things take a while to gel. Other than Hughes & MON i could see any other manager we get (if we won promotion) getting the sack in the summer to bring in a premier league experienced manager. It's a dead end job simple as that. We are quite simply a joke, our owner has put money in and i for one like the guy, however his knowledge of football in general, and especially the championship is minimal so how on earth will he be able to pick a decent manager i don't know. There are chairmen throughout the football league who get managerial choices wrong time and time again and they have been involved with the game for 30 years, Top hasn't been alive that long.
Babylon Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Mugabe's just entered the betting at 25/1. I swear the bookies are skim reading this forum. Worth a punt? Kim Jong-Il 7/1 Idi Amin 100/1 Benito Mussolini 25/1
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 The odds have considerably lengththend on Col Gaddafi though !
ithuriel Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 The odds have considerably lengththend on Col Gaddafi though ! dunno why, great shot stopper in his day.
MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 What are the odds for Chavez or Castro? I'd prefer them over Keane any day, at least they have a social touch.

Steve Walsh, what a willy puller. He's no better than Hitler. FFS. hmm, but perhaps that the only reason roy keane isn't a mugabe, pot or stalin, is because he never got the chance in our society. he is unquestionably a nasty man, and certainly walks the line of socio/psychopath (plus he actually looks like ahmadinejad's twin). who knows, in another life he might not have been trying to end careers, he might have been ending lives. fact.
MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 emailing that wheelan woman > As if she would give a sh*t.

Wink Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 This is a football forum and people will post what they want to post, within reason... if its out of order the Mods will sort it out. Lets analyse your daft post: 1. We arent suddenly a 'massive club' but certainly one of the biggest in the Championship. We have a large stadium, a big fan base and money.. this raises the level of expectation 2. As many people on here have been positive about possible managers, as have been negative, with the exception of Keane. Thats the raison detre of a forum. Most people have said they would like Clark here, for instance, or Hughes. 3. Who is being 'greedy or ignorant'...all we want is success for the club, both on the field and off it. 4. If Roy Keane won his first 20 games we wouldnt say hes the 'new Martin O'Neil'..they are different managers, people, with different personalities. Your post sounds like nothing but a rant..please try harder.. I'm really positive about the future, am glad that the owners had the balls to get rid of Sven, but don't want Keane, as I genuinely think he's mentally unhinged. There is a difference between assertiveness and aggression. Management by 'fear' doesnt usually work. Thats my point of view, Im posting it Ok with you? Spot on for me!!
