foxsake123 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 I interpreted it as, 'oi Russian tosser 'gis a new contract'
Moreton Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Yes please deffinatley a possability. has succsesful championship experience & a chelsea connection.
Guest Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 rather have him than a lot of the other candidates. MoN still first and a big ex international manager second Perhaps Pearson third
lovelcfc Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Did very well with west brom wouldnt mind this
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Mentioned him before, did well at WBA.
Happy Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Hardly did well in the prem though, has championship experience I guess, but prefer MON
Number 6 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Hardly did well in the prem though, has championship experience I guess, but prefer MON Hardly did a poor job either though. He could well have kept WBA up which was his objective.

Agreed, he was unfortunate to get sacked at West Bron IMO and he got some good results during his short prem stint with West Brom. Don't forget West Brom played some really nice football as well, he would be a really good choice if we could get him.
Ron Combo Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Di Matteo was 33s with Victor Chandler now they're not taking bets. He's 16s with Paddy Power. Pearson is odds on with Ladbrokes, Mark Hughes is also shortening with them. A long drawn out feast for the bookies - how happy they must be!
Tielemans63 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 He'd be a solid appointment in my opinion but that doesn't seem like a particularly reliable piece of journalism does it?Seems a bit like a filler story to me.

It's been an absolute field day for them. They've made a fortune just in people backing Lee Clark.
Salieri Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 I'm sure the bookies must be in cahoots with the papers. <_<
CloudFox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 I'm sure the bookies must be in cahoots with the papers. <_< Perhaps our owners have arranged an 'unofficial' sponsor with the bookies
Nickfosse Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Working in West Brom with lots of ST holders there, Di Matteo was appreciated but not regarded as exceptional. The arrival of Hodgson bought significant improvement from the same group of players. Never the sign of a genuinely outstanding manager.

ADAMSKI97 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 I think some of you guys are running out of names, this is just Matteo's agent trying to get a longer deal and better wage out of Chelski cant you see that!! IIf City wanted Matteo he would of snapped there hands off long ago, i certainly wouldnt want Di Matteo he took over a good footballing side with money built by Mowbray any fool could of got that team in the premier, as time marches on i think it is all the more likely that MON will be appointed, MON always takes his time to get the right deal even with his signings!
Nickfosse Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Who are you talking about? My post is about Di Matteo not Hodgson.
