FallenAngel Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I wonder if they end up having a really bad run of form from now on an end up dropping 10,000 leagues (under the sea)
Jace Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Now Pearsons coming back from Hull he will probably want to play an anchorman in midfield........ Goodnight everyone!
ajthefox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I wonder if they end up having a really bad run of form from now on an end up dropping 10,000 leagues (under the sea) They're minnows in this league anyway...
I am Rod Hull Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 One more... I cant kelp myself... I hope we can scale the league once more...
FallenAngel Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Rather that than a slippery slope down the depths to league 1 again, that was just sharking

FallenAngel Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I'm getting quite excited about the announcement now, I bet the headlines will read "Pearson landed! Hook, line & sinker" I think you mean Hump Back Shocking, my gf's no whale!!!

lcfcadam Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I think it's brill news about Pearson returning, although it's starting to get annoying just how koi both the clubs are being about the situation. Of course, it doesn't help that Stringer keeps making clams of having "news" which turns out to be stuff we already know or is just a load of bull (trout)...
wellyfox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 So who thinks our boat will come in this season with NP at the helm?
Babylon Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 So who thinks our boat will come in this season with NP at the helm? Or smash into rocks, shed our cargo and sink without trace....Who knows. I like NP. People find him dour but I love his interviews, they make me laugh the same way Mick Mccarthy does. The football is nowhere near as bad as some people make out. Some moan about his transfers, well considering we made a profit on transfer fees in and out whilst winning league one, and then reaching the play offs the next season, it's a great achievement. You can't say for sure whether it will work out like it did first time though.

But what you can say is he will make the whole team organized and fighting for each other, and this is what we have sadly missed since he left, welcome home NP.
Saxondale Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Based on the success of this thread, I think every new thread should have a mandatory pun-based theme.

I wish Hull would stop carping on about wanting more money for him We're like a fish out of water without a manager at the helm
Saxondale Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Oh. And I imagine Pearson will be trawling the transfer market in January. Hoping to net a few bargains. He might choose a new skipper, too. I heard he's targeting Grimsby winger John West.

HEGGSY Posted 10 November 2011 Author Posted 10 November 2011 Good to know the thread I started is the basis of the mandatory pun based theme
skinnydipper Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I wonder if Nigel wants more time to mullett over.
Criggers Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Pearson will kelp us organised and unlike on Sunday against Weeds, we shouldn't be as Cagey and open to a smash'n'crab.
Saxondale Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Just hope he doesn't make any wrasse decisions.
Saxondale Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 At least we're herring in the right direction.
