Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 if your going to use scouting as an example then it works both ways.. kermo?? the robbie nielson you felt to mention.. ryan mcgivern?? you want to credit Np for firing them up for the 2nd leg, then surely he needs criticism for NOT firing them up for the first leg.. again need to look at both sides if you going to praise him for something.. oh and we do still have howard upfront.. Ok Mcgivern was garbage, but what manager has ever gone through their career and not made a bad signing? He from Man City and with a big future / potential so was worth the gamble. Look at what Pearso DID bring us though - Waghorn, Tunchev etc Critism for the first leg? not a lot more he could do,he played the team we all would of selected. the way we played was around Howard and he was suspended.
mitchofox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 (Con't) #HullCity are adamant that Nigel's position will be sorted tomorrow with confirmation of Nick Barmby becoming caretaker to follow. 14 Nov here's hoping
frozenoak Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 That's from 7 days ago! Thats what you get for not wearing me glasses in the dark!
Babylon Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Big Nige must be doing his nut at these delays. 4 days is no time to prepare a team for the weekend. Thought someone said the team were not even back until Wednesday anyway due to internationals. If he's sure it's going through then I have no doubt he'll be preparing for the game watching videos etc.

Oh No. This delay is a DISASTER I tell you! DISASTER!!!

fosseman Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Further delay could result in losing 3 points on Sunday. That could just matter at the end of the season!
Babylon Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Further delay could result in losing 3 points on Sunday. That could just matter at the end of the season! It could result in gaining 3 points, outcome could have been the same either way... nobody knows, guess work. As long as it's done for tomorrow morning it doesn't matter.
frozenoak Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 It seems theres more delays,It may be announced today that NP has left hull but not yet Foxes boss!
dannythefox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Further delay could result in losing 3 points on Sunday. That could just matter at the end of the season! This is quite possible we've had a nice two week break and three games without a manager the Thais have made themselves look very very silly and Leicester as a club look a joke.
paulsherwood1 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 The delays are for the best in the long term. We simply can`t be seen as a club where others can hold us to ransom just because we have some cash. The owners are doing the right thing here. So what if we have to wait, it`s not like the appointment means 3 points on sunday are a gimme......

Agree but it would of been better to have the new manager in charge for the two weeks so he could look at the squad / tactics etc.

dannythefox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 That was my thoughts but then someone said the players etc are away until tomorrow anyway! Only the ones on international duties.

Answer me this, did you think the owners of Portsmouth made themselves look silly taking 3/4 weeks to appoint their manager? Did you think they looked a joke of a club. I certainly didn't and I doubt anyone else even thought about it. So why would anyone think it about us or our owners? People need to chill out and stop acting like spoilt children not getting their own way.
frozenoak Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Only the ones on international duties. I see, thanks

People need to chill out and stop acting like spoilt children not getting their own way. It is probably due to the level of expectation at our club, perception from the outside as well as internally so when we sack a high profile manager in Sven fans expect us to appoint someone fairly quickly, in the knowledge that we didn't sack him hastily i.e not having a manager in place. As you say having a little bit of patience goes a long way.
Babylon Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I see, thanks I thought I heard/read it was the whole squad because our games not on til Sunday, can't be 100% sure.

That is a very harsh conclusion especially as we do not know the reasons for the delay. It may be that Hull are unwilling to co-operate. It may be that Pearson would prefer his first meetings and sessions with the whole squad together. It may be with have useless administrators and owners.

You won't fit in around here, we don't use facts to have a go at people. We use guess work only.

If he's sure it's going through then I have no doubt he'll be preparing for the game watching videos etc. No doubt, but an extra 10 days with the players not on international duty would undoubtedly have been beneficial and I'm sure Pearson will be disappointed at the delays, particularly as we have 3 games in 10 days coming up. Still, in the long run the delay ought to be immaterial.
frozenoak Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Think this is todays date (cleans glasses) This is Leic-CP on NP
Happy Fox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 It should happen today if not tomorrow, if not tomorrow the day after tomorrow
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I've thought about this for the last few days. With reflection, I think we all need to be patient and trust in our owners to know what they are doing. Although its great on here to read speculation, it seems like this is all it is. No-one really seems to exactly know whats going on and I guess this is because both the Thais and Pearson are doing everything very professionally, playing their cards close to their chests and not giving much away. This is how something like this should be done in my opinion. I would have loved Pearson to have come in yesterday, prepare the squad for Sunday so that we could go out and have a good win. Until this happens we will have to trust in Stowell et al to do this for now. This is a very important appointment for Leicester City Football Club, both for now and into the future. Its imperative therefore that all the i's are dotted and the t's crossed and that no club knows that they can 'hold us over a barrel' to get more money than they are rightfully entitled to. Its frustrating, but its essential to get this right.
