So why no announcement of Pearson?

1. Leicester previously under Pearson had great wins involving plenty of goals..

Although Yes, I'd rather win one-nil than lose three nil

2. I would agree with compensation which is right and proper for both Leicester and Hull

I have no bad feeling about Hull whatsoever and some of my family originate from Hull and are fans. If I were you guys I would hold out for what you are entitled to. Which is what I said in my original post.

My reference to being 'held over a barrel' was regarding Leicester not having to pay more than Hull are entitled to. To do so sends out the wrong message to other clubs.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

If Pearson joins us and leaves you its our gain and your loss IMO. But its happened to us plenty of times mate... Brian Little joining Villa, McGhee going to Wolves, Martin to Celtic etc..

Fact of life and certainly of football...

best thing ever to happen in the history of LCFC :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

That said the club seems to have abandoned PR for three weeks now. They were happy for people to think it could be O'Neill and be let down, now the Pearson issue has rumbled on for ten days. The only worrying aspect of that is that it isn't how most clubs with their fans at heart tend to operate.

You expect them to respond to every single newspaper rumour going?

I'm more worried about how pathetic our fans have been throughout the whole process rather than our board. If anything they have struck me as being highly professional dealing with everything behind closed doors. Which is how it should be.

Peoples attitude of "I don't know what's going on, and that's a disgrace", is pretty needy and childish in my opinion.

Clearly many of our most vocal fans are delusional idiots who believe they are entitled to know exactly what is happening at all times.

Absolutely spot on, couldn't put it better myself

Its some of our fans and not the club that are the laughing stock of the league

I disagree with the sentiment that fans who feel in the dark over the Manager farce are out of order.

Before last season had even ended as usual I stumped up my Season Ticket money like many others. I show faith and invest my money into the club and into belief in the project our owners are undertaking with our club.

In addition we are told repeatedly that "This is your club".

And in the main that is right as whoever is the Manager, whoever is the owner, whoever is our Goalkeeper or Striker. In fact whoever is serving the pies and cleaning the bogs we are the only constant.

Season after season we keep going to games paying our money, introducing our kids to the club, spending money in the club shop etc etc etc.

So when something as important as the goings on of the last 3 weeks is upon us I for one would like to be kept just a little more in the loop than we have been of late.

I'm not asking for confidential or sensitive information to be made public, but the odd break in radio silence to say "We're doing this as quickly as possible" or "We've identified our man now we are are working on getting him here." or "This situation if frustrating and regrettable but is beyond our control and will be resolved as quickly as possible." for me would be very much appreciated.

We have spent the last three weeks scratching around for tweets, rumour, counter rumour or so called 'Insider knowledge' to get a basic idea of what is going on at our club and for me that is not good enough.

"We're doing this as quickly as possible"

You need to be told that?

"We've identified our man now we are are working on getting him here."

Did you not know that over a week ago?

"This situation if frustrating and regrettable but is beyond our control and will be resolved as quickly as possible."

Is that not obvious?

The information has been getting out. If it wasn't we wouldn't even know we were after Pearson, that we'd approached Hull, that they were after more than his contract stated etc.

Officially from the club no.

From scratching around then net and trying to put 2 & 2 together maybe, if you can rely on unofficial sources.

That is a poor show for me.

But clubs do not post things on official sites saying we are trying to poach x manager. All you get is generic rubbish.

Scratching around on the net? Anyone reading the Merc, listening to Radio Leicester or watching Sky Sports knows what's going on.

Here is the thing for me, would we have a manager in place now if the owners were releasing lots of info to the press and doing lots of press conferences? No

In my mind if they had been releasing lots of info to the press leaking things and making official statements we could potentially be no closer to getting a manager in. The Nigel Pearson thing came completely out the blue for me, and he was approached officially and in the correct way. Now if a lot more info had come out from official sources Hull may have got wind of something and made it more difficult to sign him, start offering him more money and an extended contract. Or Pearson could have seen official statements about MON, Clarke, Hughes, Davies etc, and felt like he was fifth choice to go back to a club that he walked out on 18 months ago because he didn't feel loved. Therefore less likely to come back.

Not to mention that having press conferences and making statements would take up time they could otherwise be spending on securing the services of a manager.

This silence may have frustrated the fans, but it was for the benefit of the club and the club is bigger than it's fans.

I have been out all day and see no updates on the managerial position, i presume there's still n announcement yet then?

Truth be known we the fans are an irrelevance to the owners. They did not buy this club because they thought it about time the Leicester fans had something to cheer about . They may well be football fans but are most certainly not Leicester fans as we know it .

They have been quite clear in that respect making it obvious we are a means toward an end nothing more. The renaming of the ground the silly video calling us " Thai Fox's " and the Thai dancers at the start of the season show they have no idea of our history or culture and are using us as a vehicle to promote their brand name.

Ok I like the rest of you will go along with that if it means seeing premiership football down at the walkers --Sorry KP stadium , but don't for one minute think they give two hoots what you think because they don't.

Other than the fact that you have to please customers.

Are you actually using the Thai dancers as an example of them not knowing our history or culture???

And were they called the Thai Fox's in a video shown in Thailand on Thai television to promote matches to Thai people because we have Thai owners!!!

Lets be honest. The owners were in a loose loose situation with regard to the new manager situation. In my opinion they have gone about it the right way.

If they had released little bits of information then people will either be saying - "why don't they tell us more" or "we need to know more than that"

If they said who was on their shortlist, who they were going to approach openly, then people will be saying - "thats unprofessional" or "can't believe they announced that! If they don't get x manager then anyone else will think they were second best!" etc

So saying nothing has kept in in the club. Not letting anyone know who it was, I think was the most professional way to do it.

And lets be honest its given everyone a talking point over the last few weeks. Just think what your 2 weeks would have been like and what you have been talking about? I know I would be bored and more productive.

Anyway having a go with owners that have pumped money into the club and improved the training facilities shouldn't be criticised. Just ask any Cov fan at the moment!!

Keep the faith people!

I agree that it's strange how people require a comforting voice from above at moments like these. As I see it, what will be will be.

Still, at least we haven't got a board that go around changing the name of our stadium or anything daft like that.

None of these things massively bother me, but for the first time I'm beginning to wonder what they may be capable of in the weeks and months to come.

Every fan of every club in the land is in exactly the same boat mate, football as a game for the masses is in it's final throes, certainly in this Country, it's now at the stage whereby clubs are just a rich kids toy to be picked up and put down as and when they feel like it
