So why no announcement of Pearson?

Here is the thing for me, would we have a manager in place now if the owners were releasing lots of info to the press and doing lots of press conferences? No

In my mind if they had been releasing lots of info to the press leaking things and making official statements we could potentially be no closer to getting a manager in. The Nigel Pearson thing came completely out the blue for me, and he was approached officially and in the correct way. Now if a lot more info had come out from official sources Hull may have got wind of something and made it more difficult to sign him, start offering him more money and an extended contract. Or Pearson could have seen official statements about MON, Clarke, Hughes, Davies etc, and felt like he was fifth choice to go back to a club that he walked out on 18 months ago because he didn't feel loved. Therefore less likely to come back.

Not to mention that having press conferences and making statements would take up time they could otherwise be spending on securing the services of a manager.

This silence may have frustrated the fans, but it was for the benefit of the club and the club is bigger than it's fans.

I think you need to read my post again.

You don't have to release sensitive or damaging information to say enough to make your point clear.

To me it's basic manners to keep your 'customers' for want of a nicer word informed and not feeling left out.

It may come across as a tad generic at times but at least the thought and the effort is there, and fans feel they are not being left quite so out in the dark.

You and others may be happy with the complete silence from the club since Sven was sacked, I for one am not.

FFS !!

As usual you did not understand my post. The money they spend in getting us into the prem is a means towards and end. Prem football is global and to have their brand name shown across the world is priceless.

They are BUSINESS men first and for most. the fact that they enjoy football is incidental. Again I will repeat they did not buy this club because they have always been fans or had any link what so ever with us before they bought it. And yes what exactly DO Thai dancers have to do with Leicester ? answers on a post card to director of equality and diversity . com

Look Panky... I mean Flowwolf,

Who the hell is under the illusion that were Leicester fans before they bought us or are now??

You've just stated the obvious and the reason why they aren't updating us regarding the ongoing negotiations for a manager, they're business men.

Maybe they put on Thai dancers to show our fans who may not have been to Thailnad, know about Thailand or care about Thailand a bit of Thai culture as they are from Thailand. They could have got the Birch to do a jig on the centre circle, which would have been more in keeping with our rich heritage of course but wouldn't really have got the exchange of culture over quite as well.

You need to be told that?

Did you not know that over a week ago?

Is that not obvious?

The information has been getting out. If it wasn't we wouldn't even know we were after Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh, that we'd approached Hull and that they were simply asking for the EXACT amount that the three guys were contracted to them for in compensation............................... but that TOP isn't playing ball

Obvious answer is obvious  , Thai owners=Thai dancers :giggle:

Football clubs have been the ego trip, marketing tool etc., of rich men for a long, long time now but the club's still require fans.

Empty grounds look poor on TV and make for poor spectacle and thus inspite of TV money clubs will always want a healthy gate.

Every fan of every club in the land is in exactly the same boat mate, football as a game for the masses is in it's final throes, certainly in this Country, it's now at the stage whereby clubs are just a rich kids toy to be picked up and put down as and when they feel like it

Anyone else fed up of this guy? Say the word and he's gone.

Not the slightest bit bothered by him, if you can get by DT and thrac during that time of the month and smile then only a mass invasion by Derby and Forest fans might be annoying :giggle: , no offense DT and thrac btw :)

They put on Thai dancers to show their folks back home " look what we bought " it's like a Tom cat pissing up the gate to mark his territory. And exactly what is wrong with stating the obvious ? And yes I would rather Birch do a jig in the center circle if you must know. If you took the time to read my post without getting emotional you would realise I was actually confirming that business men do not discuss business in open and that is why the silence, no criticism intended to the owners. ps panky ?

It's hardly been done on the quiet has it? We've known since last Saturday (5th) that Pearson was the man they wanted.

What do you want them to say? It would be unprofessional to talk about managers already in jobs before making an official approach. Now we've made an approach the club are trying to get Pearson in.

And that seriously makes more sense to you than it being a friendly gesture and cultural exchange by new owners trying to give fans a taste of where they're from.

On the contrary !

Its no different to all your other monotonous dronings !

You may find it hard to believe in your world of utter cynicism..........but not all of us appreciate being preached to by a moron like you !!!!

To be honest 21st I am in the wrong. As a business man myself I often overlook the good part of humans and look too deeply into motives rather then a sense of maybe they are descent and respectable.
