artursteppe Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 As has been strongly rumoured, some of the 'senior' players have apparently been giving Top their opinions on who the new manager should be. I guess the likes of Wellens, Howard, Gallagher and King - in other words some of the real dross that played against Leeds in that recent embarrassing debacle of a so called football 'match'. ( They were SHIIIIITE ) Consider this scenario:- Those boys say "ere Nige, we'll get you back in as manager, you can get say 'alf a million nicker more than you are on now and you promise to give us new contracts and pick us every week and the jobs a good un. What d'yer say, everyones a winner babe, and you can get rid of the arseholes Sven brought in and it can be just the same as it always used to be! Then you can bring Matty, Hobbs, and Waggy back and give them pay rises as well. Bloody marvellous!"
Aleksz Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Why another Pearson thread, put it in the ones already open!

Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Hull City supporters fear a double blow following the impending departure of Nigel Pearson to Leicester City, says Tigers legend Dean Windass. I don't remember Dean Windass playing rugby.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I don't really know much about the younger Hull players but id love to see Pearson being Robert Koren with him What I've seen of him he looks a good creative midfielder with an eye for a goal
Filbert_Ross Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 just a word if Pearson does go im staying where i am my heart is at Hull City and getting Hull back to premier league same for hobbsy too- Matty Fryatt- Twitter
Happy Fox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 A what? I will enlighten you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midfielder#Winger The responsibilities of the winger include: Providing a "wide presence" as a passing option on the flank. To beat the opposing full-back either with skill or with speed. To read passes from the midfield that give them a clear crossing opportunity, when going wide, or that give them a clear scoring opportunity, when cutting inside towards goal. To double up on the opposition winger, particularly when he is being "double-marked" by both the team's full back and winger.
wellyfox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 just a word if Pearson does go im staying where i am my heart is at Hull City and getting Hull back to premier league same for hobbsy too- Matty Fryatt- Twitter I for one so hope he keeps his word.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 just a word if Pearson does go im staying where i am my heart is at Hull City and getting Hull back to premier league same for hobbsy too- Matty Fryatt- Twitter And the news just gets better and better. You could also rewrite that to say "If the gaffer goes back to Leicester me and Hobbsy are staying as we have **** all chance of getting into the team there." Lets just hope it is not a fake account.
Matt Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Let's get him here first. FFS. Didn't like Hull before, hope the ***** really struggle now, nothing club. As for Fryatt, let's hope he keeps his word.
look_back_in_amber Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 One to keep an eye on though, maybe a summer move You have as much chance of signing Cameron Stewart as you have of seeing MON as your next manager
look_back_in_amber Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Robby brady, Robert koren, James chester, cameron stewart, Liam rosenior and maybe jack hobbs are all good enough for are squad i think anyway ? And you'd be correct, shame for you that none of them will be playing for you though, also, based on the precedent of the Nigel Pearson transfer fee multiplier that we use on transfers between yourselves and us, I'm thinking that Jack Hobbs, who in fairness is arguably the weak link amongst the six players you've mentioned, would cost you around £2.4M, that certainly wouldn't leave enough out of a rumoured war chest of £8M to get all of the rest over the line. There again will it still be £8M after we've banked our £2M transfer fee for NP?
look_back_in_amber Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Liam Rosenior isn't good enough for us! But Jack Hobbs is? This thread just gets funnier
Number 6 Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Think NP got the best out of that Hull squad. Barring some of their loaned youngsters I feel we have better individual quality here. Need to get 'em playing as a team. Can't see £8m being spent in Jan.
wellyfox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 To spend 8mill in jan we need a manager first. And for him to sign them for us he need's to be our manager first.

Need to get 'em playing as a team. Can't see £8m being spent in Jan. We only have ONE 'loaned youngster', and the league table doesn't suggest that you have better 'individual quality' at your place, obviously in some positions you will have better players, in others we will have better players, time will tell whether he got the best out of the squad, or whether it is simply a very good squad of players, none of which you will be buying unless you're willing to pay extravagantly over inflated prices, you know like the NP one

And if that manager costs £2M perhaps he will only have £6M to spend, seems fair to me, if you eventually get him I hope you get your £2M's worth, time will tell

There again will it still be £8M after we've banked our £2M transfer fee for NP? Like you'd get £2m for Pearson when: A) he wants out (why else would he ask to be allowed to speak to us) B) You didn't even pay half that last summer. If the clubs can't agree a fee then 1 of two things can happen - Pearson can resign (in which case you get naff all) or a tribunal can set the fee (And given all reports say we are refusing to budge over the 1m you supposedly want, why would a tribunal then double the fee requested by hull?). You'll get 1 mill at the very most. Also do you really think your board would hold out for more than 2.4 million for for any of the 6 players listed? none of them are worth that much.
