Bert mentioned this on twitter, it deserves its own thread I feel.

Firstly hope she's alright, secondly hope the scumbag that did it gets nicked but did anyone that went actually see what happened?

SaM 12 I also seen this the two blokes right at the front of the stand kicking each other, I think they were messing around but it was quite random

Especially as the stewards stood there watching.

I saw it. The 5 or 6 men and one woman stood in front of me and my mates the whole game. There excuse was 'we ripped up our tickets and forgot where are seats were'. But they all looked about 30, and thuggy to say the least. They started chanting Pearson out and the sven goran ericsson song. A few people to there side starting mouthing off back to them, then a random woman said 'shut up you fat slag' to the thuggy looking woman and then started slapping around with her, then the thuggy looking womans male friend comes along and full on thumps her. Stewards didn't even move, police didn't even care. I walked out side, saw all of them laughing about it.

Bunch of sick idiots.

I'm not condoning what happened there but it sounds like that would've been an everyday incident in the crowd back in the 80s, with no reaction-action from the stewards or police to match..........

The whole mouthing of was fine, but a big beefy bloke hitting a woman just doesn't look good. Although she asked for it by mouthing off in the first place? I don't agree with what he did though, just she shouldn't of argued with people who look like there out to cause trouble.

****ing scumbags.

Our fans slag off whoever is in charge, whoever is on the pitch and whoever owns the club.

Now we have fans punching women in the face. Not sure why anyone who saw this has done nothing about it at the time?? Who was the woman who got punched with?

Seriously people, WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH US???????

In reply to you Bettsj2, it happened in a instant, noone expected it all to happen? People were trying to split up, and there was about 4 or 5 of them and they were all fairly beefy.

Myself, I couldn't of done much being a 16 year old.

It was quite near me just after the match finished, two blokes were arguing about something then some bloke hit the woman, but i missed that! but the police came up and did nothing, just sent him downstairs and that was it!

I hope she's ok, shouldn't happen at football.

Absolutely it shouldn't happen anywhere at all, but certainly not at football, and especially not from a fellow fan of your club.

Im sorry.... am i reading that correctly....

The Lady asked to be hit by a 'big beefy bloke?'

Is that how you intended to phrase it?

I had the misfortune to be sat in front of them. Now I can swear with the best of them but their language especially from the woman(!)Was a disgrace.

As for the fat bloke in the Stone Island cap who punched the woman, well he must be very proud.

On the plus side at least my 11 year old son got a preview of what kind of munter he'll attract if he doesn't work hard at school!

No ;)

Maybe i worded it badly, but the way the woman was mouthing off, it was fairly obvious someone was going to hit her.
