Tielemans63 Posted 23 December 2011 Posted 23 December 2011 someone has stated : Leicester who have looked to bolster their attack with a bid to resign Matty Fryatt from Hull, rejoining his former club and manager. Pearson has also looked to the Premier League and enquired into the prices of Kenwyne Jones of Stoke, currently warming the bench, Ricardo Fuller in a similar situation and Sammy Ameobi on loan from Newcastle. ignore the Fatty Mryatt rumour what do people think about the other players ??? Fuller & Jones are exactly the sort of players we need - target man. Don't know much about Sammy Ameobi to be fair so can't comment. I'm not even going to comment on the Fryatt rumour.

Ignore it If NP puts a bid in he really wants sacking. And I for one won't be going near the KP if he does. Thats so gotta be a sick joke?
Callabinho Posted 24 December 2011 Posted 24 December 2011 We will need cover for paintsil when he leaves, could do with a spare LB too!
Jimmy Posted 24 December 2011 Posted 24 December 2011 We will need cover for paintsil when he leaves, could do with a spear LB too! Yuki could cover right back, as could SSL, Tom Kennedy was signed by NP in the 1st place, he'd be a good left back, especially as cover & Tunchev plays there internationally so he can cover too
bluearmyfox23 Posted 24 December 2011 Posted 24 December 2011 How much do u reckon stoke would want for fuller?
Jimmy Posted 24 December 2011 Posted 24 December 2011 depends, how old is he? how long does he have left on his contract?
bluearmyfox23 Posted 24 December 2011 Posted 24 December 2011 Not sure would look at his wikki page but I'm on my iPod so Carnt?!
kingfox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Back Up Goalkeeper and maybe cover at left-back. But the main priorities are midfielders and another striker. We need central midfielders who can get forward and shoot from outside the area, and wingers who can take on their markers, get in some good crosses and score the odd goal. 1.Keith Andrews - His loan at Ipswich expires next month, and I think we should challenge Ipswich to his signature, he can score goals and is very good in the air. 2.Jacob Butterfield - Barnsley cannot agree a contract with him, and have said he may well leave, everytime I have seen him play I have been excited by him, can shoot from outside the area and is a threat when getting forward from central midfield. 3.Andros Townsend - We have been linked with him before, and his performances for Spurs in Europa League have been promising. 4.Cameron Stewart - Another impressive young winger, who has been linked in the press, Pearson is a fan and he could be a big possibility. 5.David Templeton - We have been linked with Humphrey, but Templeton may be a better option, Hearts are in complete mess and he may well leave, he is an exciting prospect with a good delivery and can score some class goals. 6.Billy Sharp - He is a dangerous striker, who can score goals at this level, very neat finisher and is someone we desperetly need. 7.Jordan Rhodes - His goalscoring record for Huddersfield says it all, he is bang in form and red hot right now, not many score four goals in a game. I think Pearson should be taking a real good look at these players, and maybe see about some Premier League loans, a better back up goalkeeper and someone who is commanding in defence. A Danny Shittu and Sol Bamba combo at the back would give strikers nightmares
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 2 wingers and maybe 1 back up full back
Frank_mckenzie Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Olifinjana, kebe, Stewart, sharp or Maynard and someone like whittingham
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Rhodes please he has everything pace can head the ball the complete striker no doubt he hasn't played at this level but I think he can make the step up.Give Huddersfield Beckford if they want.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Olifinjana is a good shout to be fair I would personally like to see us sign around 7/8 players in over the next season the reason behind this is that like what I said before we are asking for a lot if we are to get promotion this year so i think Pearson should build his own squad in jan, and then push on next year with the squad knowing each others game ? Anyway I would sign - Smithies from Huddersfield he has a bright future and is still young ( back up ), Cunningham from man city forest want his signuture in January but I think konchesky is some times tired and could do with a break and Cunningham is that man, Olifinjana from Cardiff I think, he would provide us with that steel and height in midfield, Koren from hull sit him behind the strikers and he can do wonders with his shooting and passing as we have seen the past 2-3 seasons, Stewart or whittingham from hull and cardiff these to have everything u want they have pace, tricks, able to skin his man but most importantly he can cross,And can also shoot from distance, Brady or snodgrass from man u and Leeds these two have the exact same as the above, Rhodes/Maynard/Sharp I would take any of these 3 they all have everything u want in a striker pace, can score from any distance and there all good in the air, and finally Juke box or fuller from Coventry and stoke, Steve Howard has lost it now and these two would be a perfect replacement they are both capable to play as a lone striker they are mobile, good in the air, can hold the ball up, but can also score !!

Bugg Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Jacob Butterfield, David Templeton and Cameron Stewart are all great shouts. They'd be the only 3 players we'd need this season. Stewart won't sign though as I doubt Hull are going to let us negotiate transfers of their players.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Jacob Butterfield, David Templeton and Cameron Stewart are all great shouts. They'd be the only 3 players we'd need this season. Not a defensive midfielder and a playmaker?
Bugg Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Not a defensive midfielder and a playmaker? Well, Butterfield is a great player, might not be a playmaker as such, but drives through midfield, has a good eye for a pass and more importantly, isn't afraid to shoot unlike most of our midfield. As for a defensive midfielder, we've already got a couple of good ones.

cc_star Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 The people we were linked with in the summer & didn't sign, like Kebe, Maynard Although being mid-table & the prospect of another year in the championships would probably harm our chances IMO We need a CB of the type we though Mills was going to be but has fallen short of, a dominating CB who makes his partner look good, which we have missed since Brown left. We need a CDM of the type that Bowyer used to be, someone to do all the running get in people's faces and make it difficult for opposing mids to get in the game, at the minute we have the person who's supposed to be our principle passer of the ball trying to do all the ball winning too & as a result it's not working for him or the team We need width on both sides We need someone who can keep their shots on target and can get roughly 1 in 2 as opposed to the 1 in 5 & 1 in 8 we have upfront at the moment
Libertine Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Orlandi from Swansea? Out of favour currently. Don't know much about him but a winger and we were linked under Paulo. Tommy Smith perhaps too, QPR will bring in a few in Jan so unlikely to play. Yes, I'm watching Swansea v QPR.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 I've allways rated Matt Philips I thought he cut it in the prem let alone champ?
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Must have a pop at Jacob Butterfield, Great playmaker, scores goals, set piece taker, good leader too
