MC Prussian Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Nevermind the players you'd love to see playing in a Lestoh shirt comes 2012, which ones of the current crop would you like to be shown the door - be it permanent or temporary (on loan deals)? My Flop Five would read as following: 1. Wellens (permanent; a bag of potatoes shows more willingness to move) 2. King (should be loaned out or at least played as the attacking midfielder he once was) 3. Howard (I know we all love a bit of Big Steve (Leeds at home 2009/2010), but his time has come) 4. Dyer (permanent; I do like the guy, but apart from his pace, has little to offer) 5. Gallagher (should get a decent loan spell elsewhere; still useful with his free-kicks) Sadly, with Wellens still on a contract until 2014 and Pearson's love for the 31-year old midfield sham package, things won't change in the near future.
paddy Agyemang Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Get rid of Oakley instead of gally as gally provides something different Howard stays no matter what get him a player coaching role ad this guy is a legend and will love him no matter where he goes Johnson can go n all
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 How is Steve Howard a Leicester legend? he's been nothing but average for us apart from that League 1 season
kingfox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 These can be released or loaned out Weale Ball Berner Oakley To Be Sold Dyer Wellens Waghorn Loans Cancelled Johnson Fernandes(Unfortunately)
Hinckleyfox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 These can be released or loaned out Weale Ball Berner Oakley To Be Sold Dyer Wellens Loans Cancelled Johnson Fernandes(Unfortunately) Im sorry but why would we release/loan out Chris Weale? He is our only recognised backup keeper and in fairness a decent one (he has had his moments but I remember people singing his name when Sven put Ricardo between the sticks!) The rest I agree with, although would be worth holding on to Wellens for back-up. Definately passed his best, but we need people like him available to call on if it goes belly up!
J.Lisemore Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 How is Steve Howard a Leicester legend? he's been nothing but average for us apart from that League 1 season I'd go as far as saying if it weren't for him, we'd still be in League 1. You remember Peterborough away, when we had to play with Fryatt and Dickov upfront...that was torchure.

You remember Peterborough away, when we had to play with Fryatt and Dickov upfront...that was torchure. no offence mate but how old are you? people from my lifetime that are legends are the likes of Steve Claridge, Muzzy Izzet, Tony Cottee, Walshie, Elliott, Tags, Lennon, Sav to an extent & others plus the likes of Lineker from before my time as a fan, Steve Howard doesn't come close to their class, lets not forget he was a big part of the reason we went down to start with
Adster Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Release ALL the deadwood: Moreno Ball Berner Oakley Howard Weale Loan Out: Moussa Schlupp Sell: Dyer Wellens We need to make room for more players, meaning other players like Danns could be sold also..
J.Lisemore Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 no offence mate but how old are you? people from my lifetime that are legends are the likes of Steve Claridge, Muzzy Izzet, Tony Cottee, Walshie, Elliott, Tags, Lennon, Sav to an extent & others plus the likes of Lineker from before my time as a fan, Steve Howard doesn't come close to their class, lets not forget he was a big part of the reason we went down to start with 19. Not saying hes a Legend, but my point is, he played a massive part in getting us up from our all time low. I agree, he comes nowhere near the above players but in recent times, I appreciate what hes done for us. We were on a downward spiral even before he came to us that January, we all know the team was a shambles from day 1.
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 I appreciate he played a part and worked hard and tried his best but he has been an above average player for us at best, had we signed him 5 years earlier then it could of been a different story
TheUltimateWinner Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Loan: Kennedy Banton (Please can we keep this guy...) Periera Weale Tunchev? Sell: Beckford Moreno Wellens Dyer
bluearmyfox23 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 I would sell gally and dyer replace them with Whittingham and Stewart !!
paddy Agyemang Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 In my eyes he is a legend. Not as much as the 1s you mentioned but I love the guy, his passion is second to none
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 then you can't of been a fan that long if Steve Howard makes legend status for you, he's not even a cult hero let alone an LCFC legend
Dan Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Lets get rid of our ONLY TWO wide options, and our only other goalkeeper. Absolute genius, bring back Sven I say.
samwainyLCFC Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Sell: Wellens, Howard, oakley, weale. Loan out: Ball, Moussa, Schlupp(maybe) Buy: Whittingham, Stewart, Rhodes Loan in: Gibson (Man Utd), Myaitchi (Arsenal) Reasonable?
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Sell: Wellens, Howard, oakley, weale. Loan out: Ball, Moussa, Schlupp(maybe) Buy: Whittingham, Stewart, Rhodes Loan in: Gibson (Man Utd), Myaitchi (Arsenal) Reasonable? what happens if Kasper gets injured or suspended again then as our only other senior keeper, Conrad, is at Rotherham on loan
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Released- Moreno Berner Weale Oakley Sold- Wellens-Piece of shit Dyer Signed- Back up keeper A few wingers A NEW MIDFIELD A back up left back
Fox1651 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 We should sell / release - Moreno, Ball, Berner, Oakley We should loan / return - Fernandes, Johnson, Schlupp, Moussa We should give a further improved 5 year superbonus contract to "Richie Wellens" :xmastongue:
Tom17LCFC Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 The amount of people that'd release our only backup keeper :xmaslaugh:
cc_star Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Fernandes, Johnson & Beckford should be top of the list as should anyone who doesn't want to be here Secondary to that we have to clear out the dead wood, we have one of the largest squads in the country which probably causes more problems than it solves through unhappiness Ball, Danns, Oakley, Moreno and more Then we have to sign players who can improve on under-performing players like Wellens, King and a commanding CB before we can even consider letting them go. Konch has played well & made very few mistakes but we miss the attacking threat of a bit of pace at the back from that side and there seems to often be a bit of space there for opponents to get crosses in and our inept CB partnerships always leave a player unmarked to score just about every game. so I'd like to see a quality reserve LB who can push Konch for his place. Top of the wants A commanding, dominating CB A commanding, dominating CDM who can do the bulk of the work for his partner who pulls the strings (as opposed to the person who pulls the strings having to do all the work as we have at the min) 2 Wingers so the person who pulls the strings has outlets and doesn't have to resort to hopeful passes Someone who can keep shots regularly on target and find the back of net roughly 1 in 2
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Tom Kennedy could easily stick around to be our back up LB, NP did sign him after all
TheUltimateWinner Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Adam Smith? Connor Brennan? Two upcoming GOOD goalkeepers there.
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Adam Smith? Connor Brennan? Two upcoming GOOD goalkeepers there. and you'd trust them if Kasper got a serious injury? also doesn't Brennan have a broken arm or something?

MC you are having a laff expecting someone to give us a sack of spud's for another sack of spuds. But instead of another thread asking for a wish list of players we all want gone. In most cases the same 7 or 8 why don't you ask this question. What clubs are daft enough to buy/loan our crap on huge wages ?
