JohnnyB Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I thought Billy Sharp didn't want to move too far from his Yorkshire roots - you can't get much further away from Yorkshire in the UK than Southampton.

The team seem to have the right balance now, whether that would have been NP's choice for team selection or not with a full squad available is up for debate. Nugent is class, Beckford is improving and we know he can score, schlupp has bags of raw talent but is obviously injured so the only person we need to replace is Howard IMO. If Sharp comes in who do you drop? can't see Sharp being a bench warmer and I feel Beckford and Nugent are gradually forming an understanding and will become a potent partnership.

Blackpool rejected a bid from Cardiff City believed to be around £800,000. Double that and we'd probably get him.

We have no cover at the moment though, apart from Howard (cough) or throwing in a youngster like Hopper. A loan would be ideal to tide us over till Waghorn & Schlupp become available, but presumably that's what Delfouneso's in for, so as long as he does the job then we don't need anyone else.

All but one of the directors with a financial input into Doncaster Rovers have resigned, putting the future of the club in financial jeopardy. Sounds like they will have to off load there only big asset (Billy Sharp) in this transfer window.

Billy Sharp was looking for more money that's why he turned us down. that's all. THINGS HAVE NOW CHANGED. The only director with financial input is considering resigning, which could make Doncaster Rovers position terminal. THEY HAVE GOT TO SELL BILLY SHARP IN THIS WINDOW.

I would of thought he has agreed a package for his wages as to not affect the clubs budget if he's chosen to stay? Can a team get rid of a player who has already said he doesn't want to come?
