CupidStunt Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Jesus, whats it coming to if we cant even attractive players from Doncaster (No disrespect Donny fans, but come on) what a complete mess
Matt Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Just pay out their contracts. Just like that. just pay out millions because we dont want them. easy. TBH though I think it's the difference between success and failure. It's a gamble, it may not change anything but I think it would do more good than bad getting these players out of LCFC and if paying these players off is what it takes so be it, aslong as they are replaced by players that have what we need, that being the skill aswell and the desire (And again no player goes out to perform bad but surely that points to one thing? They are just not good enough). If certain players are being disruptive, and there is reason to believe there are disruptive players within the camp then what is the point in having them at the club, they need to leave one way or another, whether it be offloading them to another club or paying their contract off. Paying their contracts off may cost alot of money but if they are being disruptive, if they are that poor, it is money well spent.
Matt Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Jesus, whats it coming to if we cant even attractive players from Doncaster (No disrespect Donny fans, but come on) what a complete mess Again, why are we anymore attractive, better, or bigger than Doncaster? (Apart from a couple of positions higher than them).
ibbosuk Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 this move has never been about ££££ imo.. This move is all about money IMO.
Legend_in_blue Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Again, why are we anymore attractive, better, or bigger than Doncaster? (Apart from a couple of positions higher than them). Well, currently we aren't. But we damn well should be. That's the problem!
Matt Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Well, currently we aren't. But we damn well should be. That's the problem! Why? I've got nothing wrong with ambition or wanting to be better we all want want that, but what give some of our fans the idea we are bigger than we are, or attitude and right that we are or deserve to be better?
deep blue Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Again, why are we anymore attractive, better, or bigger than Doncaster? (Apart from a couple of positions higher than them). We are much, much bigger in terms of fan base; we have huge financial backing (at the moment); we have a history af being in the top level as much as at the second level, and have won silverware. It's hardly surprising we expect to be more attractive, whether we deserve it or not.
flowwolf Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We are much, much bigger in terms of fan base; we have huge financial backing (at the moment); we have a history af being in the top level as much as at the second level, and have won silverware. It's hardly surprising we expect to be more attractive, whether we deserve it or not. Trouble is that's all history. Obviously Sharp has had a good look at where we are now and thought " you must be fvcking joking" and who could blame him. We are run by a trigger happy board who know nothing about football , a team that is in complete disarray with no chance of even getting into the play offs and a manager who could get the sack at any minute. Would you throw your chance of the big time away by joining city at the moment ? of course not.
Ultra Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Why? I've got nothing wrong with ambition or wanting to be better we all want want that, but what give some of our fans the idea we are bigger than we are, or attitude and right that we are or deserve to be better? For starters, a 30k+ fanbase, an international-class stadium and a couple of trophies in the last 20 years. Many Premier clubs would envy us for any or all of these. MON showed what could be done. It's a travesty his legacy has been so badly tarnished by weak boards, a succession of abysmal managers and a whole host of inadequate, under-achieving players.
Callabinho Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We are much, much bigger in terms of fan base; we have huge financial backing (at the moment); we have a history af being in the top level as much as at the second level, and have won silverware. It's hardly surprising we expect to be more attractive, whether we deserve it or not. Size of the club means nothing, at the moment were a shambles, and its going to take a lot to turn it around, SSL falling out with Nigel shows signs of unrest in the camp, and the players heads may as well be on the floor morale is that low! The Leicester city ship set sail with no clue where is was going, and we need to change course, and fast!
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Whether Nigel is having problems with some of the big names that are now at the club remains to be seen,a lot as changed since he was here the last time including egos !

Walshy5 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 "@FootballAgent12: ohh and Billy Sharp deal is NOT dead. #lcfc board are not currently willing to match his demands. #drfc" This is one of the reasons we are going to struggle to bring players in. Players know we're loaded and will try and hold us to ransom.

And then underperform, happy enough on their high wages with no incentive to go out and give their all. Pull out and look elsewhere, he's not worth whatever he's requesting.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We need to stop paying big wages, pay decent wages and go for players who WANT to play and perform well, not players who are happy to just pick up their 30k a week wages.
Happy Fox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 And then underperform, happy enough on their high wages with no incentive to go out and give their all. Pull out and look elsewhere, he's not worth whatever he's requesting. Exactly it is our downfall lets look at targets from the lower leagues or abroad.
He's not bald Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Exactly it is our downfall lets look at targets from the lower leagues or abroad. For definate, we need young hungry players who want to prove themselves, why not look at the lower leagues etc?
