FrankieADZ Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Makes you wonder how much they are paying him per week... Still according to most non Leicester fans it is only us trying to buy the league. id expect hes on least £15k a week with it maybe being doubled if they get promoted....thats my view
ScouseFox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 What fee did they pay? Or is it "undisclosed"?
Callabinho Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Good luck to him, and to be brutally honest, I couldn't give ten shits. We have Jermain Beckford.
ibbosuk Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Good luck to him, and to be brutally honest, I couldn't give ten shits. We have Jermain Beckford. maybe
JJS84 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 the guy is a fcuking ass clown, i'd rather take the two starting forwards from falkirk for 4 mil each than this bell cheese. #bumder (or some twitter guff like that) and yes i have probably had to much red wine, i'll ask the wife whe she comes round.
gazfox9 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Oh well. Bit gutted as all that about staying close to his Sheffield roots was obviously bollocks. Would have liked to have seen him here, but would have my doubts whether he could have made the step up had we made the promised land. If Beckford keeps rediscovering his form then its money saved anyway!

Lost any respect for the cheesey plonker after this move, wants to stay near his roots, utter barbwire and weve done the double over that shower
Happy Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Billy Sharp is not what we needed he is a carbon copy of Nugent. A striker that we do need is a target man type.
LTWD Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Good luck to him, being boo'ed off at half time when 2-0 down, 2nd in the league ??
flowwolf Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Come on you lot , the words sour and grapes spring to mind.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Just heard an interview with Billy Sharpe on Talk Sport. All the speculation about him wanting to stay at Donny and in the Yorkshire Area was utter bollox. Why he chose the Saints was for two reasons. Firstly, he's worked in the past with Adkins and played well for him Secondly, because of where Southampton are in the league. He called Southampton a 'big club' and obviously thinks he has more chance of Prem football with them than with Leicester.
thybluefox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Said 2 weeks ago that he isn't what we need, and I still think that now. Really not fussed about him not coming here so best of luck to him.
Cecchini1976 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 He never turned Leicester down, Leicester refused to offer what his agent was asking for

crisp packet Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 He never turned Leicester down, Leicester refused to offer what his agent was asking for Heard that also! From birch ...
The Watcher Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Its probably somewhere but did we offer only enough to activate his clause? As im sure £3mill+ was banded around todays news as to what Southampton had offered. Scrub the £3mill SSN just said around £1.85mill theyve paid for Sharp.
Soar Fox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 So it wasn't about staying closer to Sheffield and more about how much £££ was being offered. Now he'll come out and say he only wanted to play for Adkins. When if the reports are true the only reason he isn't a Leicester player is because we didn't offer him enough money. Anyway if Beckford can take his FA cup form into the league we have got a much better striker in my opinion.
fox_favourite Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Surely this thread should be closed?? Hes a Southampton player now. Its a shame but it his decision. Good luck to him
