flowwolf Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Yes go on Bert tell them you real name is not Bert, it's Bertram.
MPH Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Yes go on Bert tell them you real name is not Bert, it's Bertram. Its not actually that difficult to work out what his full first name is.....
stix Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Its not actually that difficult to work out what his full first name is..... Englebert?
Bert Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Cuthbert. Nothing on this, set in a defender at the min.
Cropwellfox Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Does seem odd - Pearson hasn't collected centre backs before at lcfc or dull. Building a squad for next season maybe if the wide players he wants aren't available at a sensible price now? We really do need at least one more attacking player though, any more injuries and we'll be looking extremely light.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 The window is still open let's not start puttinf knives in his back again. Just keep some faith the window has been incredibly slow and dull for fans but for managers who don't need to do business it's ideal. The only strikers on the move have been Delf which we got! and Jason roberts although he's been talking more than playing recently
paddy Agyemang Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 If he comes then I won't like him as we all know he has come here as a last option and only for the money so no thanks Nicky Maynard in disguise
GianEmmo Zola Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 If he comes then I won't like him as we all know he has come here as a last option and only for the money so no thanks Nicky Maynard in disguise See your point. But what if he comes in and fires us to premiership! Change your mind? Haha
wellyfox Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 See your point. But what if he comes in and fires us to premiership! Change your mind? Haha We should not touch him with a barge pole now. He's played us and it's back fired on him so tuff luck. So we go back in now to help him and them WHAT MESSAGE DOES THAT SEND OUT FOR THE SUMMER. We'll end up with five last minute signing's that we pay a fortune for and really huge wages. They reckon Donny put his wages up to 15k Offer to match it and no more. He did'nt want us when we wanted him and he will only come now for money so fvck him off IMO
jonlcfc1990 Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 He said no we move on end of. Wouldn't be happy if he came he didn't want to and now he'd only be coming to get paid. We have enough of them
Proud_Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Sky Sports understands Doncaster striker Billy Sharp is undergoing a medical at Southampton ahead of a possible move to St Mary's.Sharp has been tipped to leave Doncaster this month with the South Yorkshire outfit resigned to losing the player. Sharp rejected the opportunity to join fellow Championship clubLeicester earlier this month after a bid from the Foxes activated a release clause in his contract. A number of clubs have been linked with the 25-year-old, but it appears Southampton are in pole position to land the former Sheffield United man. Southampton have held a long-term interest in Sharp and tried to sign the forward last summer only for the move to fall through. Saints boss Nigel Adkins has been searching for striking reinforcements all month and he will be hoping to tie up a deal for Sharp before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
EcclesallOwl Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Our local journo's are saying he's joining Southampton.
Fox92 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Our local journo's are saying he's joining Southampton. I aint bothered. To me, we offered him a deal and he wanted more. I don't rate him that much anyway.
FrankieADZ Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Thought he didnt want to move to far away from his home but...oh well Good luck to him if he does move there
Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Saints are desperate and probably paying him top whack to try and stop the wheels falling off!
Ric Flair Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Saints are desperate and probably paying him top whack to try and stop the wheels falling off! May well be something to do with Nigel Adkins as well, they worked together at Scunthorpe when he was physio.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Seems strange that he wants to go there but didnt want to come here. I wasnt too fussed when he turned us down as I do believe there are better strikers around, but why he chooses them over us is odd. Must think they are going to go up and wants Prem football sooner rather than later. He will do well with Lambert if he does join.
Ric Flair Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I'm fairly glad we didn't sign him, likewise Maynard. Both of them are goalscorers at this level but not for £30,000 a week. I'm happy to let Beckford try and establish himself alongside Nugent with O-Dog from Menace II Society on the bench. Plus Waghorn must be back soon as Pearson sniffs his ring piece.
lcfc_amie Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Good luck to him if he does go there, no hard feelings from me. We've got Beckford (hopefully) coming back into form now, and Schlupp and Waggy still to come back.

He will do well with Lambert if he does join. 12 pts and the thought of another year in the championship would make a difference to anyone's thinking, surely? Should have signed him in the summer, but owners and manager at the time went all out for a Prem player albeit a bench-warmer, (who's obviously talented & can bang them in for fun & will play a key part in our hopeful promotion push) but I felt the name was more important to them than how well suited either the team or the division. The wages we're still rumoured to be throwing around this division are ridiculous
