Would definitely start Tunch, Kennedy, Danns, Schlupp and Moore (unless cup tied), if we intend to keep Beckford then I would start him, and set up to play to his strengths, if planning to sell Beckford I wouldn't play him as he will be cup tied.

Would like to see 532 tried again

Schmeichel

Tunch Bamba Mills

Moore/Peltier----------------Kennedy

King Abe Danns

Beckford Schlupp

I would like to Moussa play some part in the game too, maybe switch to 442 with Moussa and Dyer to come off the bench and run at them

I would rest Nugent, as he looks like he needs it and old man Wellens. No point risking Konch and Peltier unless we need to.

Moore is definitely cup-tied so if Pelts isn't fit then possibly play Abe at RB?

I would like to see Abe King and Danns play together as a midfield 3, looking at this as a cup tie and a chance to learn more about the squad, I would rather see an academy player at RB than force Abe out there

City boss Nigel Pearson will have selection decisions to contemplate ahead of Saturday's FA Cup third round tie at Nottingham Forest, most notably in defence.

Sol Bamba and John Pantsil will be unavailable at least until the end of January as they begin their respective Africa Cup of Nations adventures with Ivory Coast and Ghana, while youngster Liam Moore, who came into the side at Crystal Palace, is cup tied after playing for loan club Bradford City earlier in the competition.

Good news could be forthcoming, though, with Paul Konchesky returning to training on Thursday and hopes high for Lee Peltier's return before the weekend. Konchesky looks to have shaken off a dead leg to compete with Tom Kennedy for the left-back spot, while Peltier's hamstring injury does not look likely to keep him out for long. Steve Howard begins a two-match ban following his red card at Selhurst Park.

Bet St Ledger's happy about kicking up a fuss now. Moron.

for this game expect some young / new faces getting a run out as there are 7 allowed on the bench for the FA Cup

+ a third of the takings on it's way back down the A46

I think a rule were players that are brought through your own clubs youth system and say 20 or under can not be cup tied would be a good idea ( tell me if im be stupid) . Surly this would benefit young players to get as much experience as possible and maybe encourage clubs to play them more.

But please tell meif im wrong cuz its probably stupid

Were getting the train around 10ish, think its just before! Then dropping bags off at a friends as were staying over the night in Notts, is everyone going to Notts County ground??? or know where else the Leicester lot will be!!

I'd love it if we all joined in and sang the song they do at the darts, class!

Nice idea, but I can't see it happening, youth development is last thing on the FAs agenda, it is a real shame though as another 90 minutes would really benefit Moore and give NP an idea as to whether he can be a comfortable understudy to Peltier or whether he needs to dip into the transfer market for cover. I think it is common for managers to prevent loanees playing in cup ties, but I guess at the time of going on out loan there was probably no thoughts of him ever actually getting a game for us the season.

I blame Sven for allowing Barnesly to play him in cup competitions, although I heard Wellens told him to do it.

Can he play LB? :D

In the way Akinbiyi can play up-front, or Junior Lewis can play football. Although that also describes his goalkeeping, he might actually be more useful at LB.

 - this is a joke right?

He was going on loan to a team 2 divisions below, with an international right-back, as well as one well established in the league below, along with at least two international standard players (St. Ledger and Abe) more than capable of deputising there.

Now then, Paintsil disappearing (supposedly with malaria), St. Ledger throwing a massive hissy-fit, Fernandes buggering off and Wellens becoming about as useful as a bag of wet mice was hardly to be predicted was it?

Yep, because it's been well documented that malaria is terminal, there's absolutely no chance of recovering from it.

Oh, and here's a dictionary:

I don't understand why Bamba won't be playing when Yaya Toure is allowed to join up with the Ivory coast after the Man C V Man U game which takes place a day later

Literally just been on SSN that both Toure's can't play and have to join up with Ivory coast instead.

so asuming pantstil, bamba called up, moore tied and ledger a moaning git and being flogged were pretty limited although i think it gives opportunity to others and can benifit the team when the others come back creating more competition. so im guessing the natural players we available are:

left back - konchesky + Kennerdy

Cenre back - Tunchev + Mills

right back - none

guess this means we will have to bring in some players out of their position, can kenerdy play right back well? abe can do a good job there but surely not shlupp or oakley though like sven did lol definately need some cover in there as tunchev may not be fully fitt after what i heard at palace.

so id like to see Konchesky, tunchev, Mills, Kennerdy(if good there)/abe

bench: Taft for cover if hes not cup tied or still out on loan, possibily ball if were really desperate
