Simmo86 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Can't see why they'd show us? Surely a potenial giant killing would be better?
Lambert09 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Surely we wont be, Wolves vs Birmingham- Bolton-mac and Brighton-Wrexham are all more appealing games, one of those fixtures will get a date change...guarentee it
liamsm Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 As I understand it, both ESPN and ITV will each have the right to show a replay live next week. Wrexham (the last non-league side left) vs Brighton stands out as an obvious choice, but which will be the other one? Look at the list below and say which one you'd go for. Bolton v Macclesfield Leicester v Forest Millwall v Dagenham & Redbridge QPR v Milton Keynes Wolves v Birmingham There is also the possibility of Leeds vs Arsenal, but I can't see Simon Grayson's side getting a draw at the Emirates this time around. Having cameras present wouldn't exactly boost the attendance (especially in the away end), but the TV money might help to ease our financial losses this season, even if only slightly. Wolves v Birmingham
liamsm Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Yeah, but replay dates aren't exactly set in stone, especially when TV companies are involved. Indeed - now included. I went and got my tickets yesterday and they told me the match MIGHT get changed to the tuesday for the TV
liamsm Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Hope it's on tv. Be arsed going, but would quite like to see it. Plastic comes to mind
StanSP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I dunno, it's still only 3rd round...if it was a quarter final I'd agree but if I had the choice between the two the league game still stands at the minute. Whatever people think we are not going to win the FA Cup. How do you know? Out of the hundreds of teams that take part, and even start off in all the preliminary rounds, all of them might as well just give up then and not even bother trying to qualify. Might as well just have a mini-competition between Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and possibly 1 or 2 others if everyone had the mentality of 'we're not gonna win it so what's the point trying?'
Guesty Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I could see it being on the TV. Nottingham and Leicester are 2 quite big cities which means more people will watch. That will be all the TV companies care about. None of the other matches are massively appealing to the neutral. The wolves match will prob be the other one.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 None of the games seem more appealing
liamsm Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I can't believed we have so many plastic fans saying i aint going if it's on tv, and as for people saying we aint gunna win the cup so they aint going, well we aint gunna win the league so buy a red and white scarf and call yourselves a Man Utd fan. they are probably the ones that slag the players off instead of cheering them on to give them confidence.
Simmo86 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 QPR v Franchise on the Wednesday ITV Plastic comes to mind Look at his username then decide if he's plastic!
JadeFalcon Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 alot of people on here can't get to matches, take me for instance. It would take me a 12 hour round trip just to get there and back

Fair point, I should have said "Very little chance of winning the competition" in comparison to promotion. Though last 16 looks a possibility at the minute with the current draw.

liamsm Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 QPR v Franchise on the Wednesday ITV Look at his username then decide if he's plastic! User names don't mean anything if i was to use Geoff Hurst as my user name would that mean i have scored a hatrick in a world cup final, don't think so
StanSP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 User names don't mean anything if i was to use Geoff Hurst as my user name would that mean i have scored a hatrick in a world cup final, don't think so Right now, I'm thinking that you're name is Liam and you are into sadomasochism.

So coming to Leicester on a week night is a bit of a trek! I wouldn't do it!
davieG Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Right now, I'm thinking that you're name is Liam and you are into sadomasochism. i was thinking more Liam's mum.

woody1983 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 According to BBC we are the only game on the Wednesday... Tuesday, 17 January 2012 Millwall v Dag & Red, R3R, 19:45 QPR v MK Dons, R3R, 19:45 Wolverhampton v Birmingham, R3R, 19:45 Wrexham v Brighton, R3R, 19:45 Bolton v Macclesfield, R3R, 20:00 Wednesday, 18 January 2012 Leicester v Nott'm Forest, R3R, 19:45 And on the Radio times it says ITV are showing an FA Cup replay on Wednesday... http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/n8d52/live-fa-cup-football--third-round-replay So, unless any fixtures have changed and the BBC haven't updated the site, then we should be the live game.
Guybino Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 just read the forest fan's views on the replay to be played here. I really really really hope we hammer them, cant stand their fans. http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=30024
Simo86 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 QPR vs MK Dons is on TV on Wednesday according to my QPR supporting mate
StanSP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 So, unless any fixtures have changed and the BBC haven't updated the site, then we should be the live game. BBC haven't updated their fixture list. If you actually go on to ITV's site, they have the live fixture listed. BBC are probably waiting for ESPN to choose, or they're just being lazy!
woody1983 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 QPR vs MK Dons is on TV on Wednesday according to my QPR supporting mate http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10373~2570855,00.html and ITV site also says we're the only Wednesday game. http://www.itv.com/sport/football/fixtures/
Larry_LCFC Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Yes but the QPR site does say that the date and kick off time are still subject to confirmation. Could quite easily change to the wednesday.
Head Honcho Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I know there's been a few games lately, but TV or no TV, if I lived within an hour of the ground I'd be at the match. In years gone by FA and League cup games down Filbert Street were electric and there was never any thought of season ticket holders not attending the cup games. I'm not judging I just find it very strange why you'd not want to attend a home game.
