Jiggers the Fox Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Anyone know how long it will be before we find out? Could do with knowing before i get tickets!
city1993 Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Wolves vs Birmingham won't be on again after the poor show at the weekend! QPR with new manager (probably Mark Hughes) will probably be shown, especially if Hughes is in charge with his FA Cup background, 91 and all that. Suppose Wrexham and Macclesfield looking to giant-ish kill could be shown, but if not I think there's a strong chance we'd get ours shown! Local derby, two fairly new managers, potential new signings, why not? I hope it is on tele really because I don't think I can afford the ticket prices for the replay after Saturday's trip. Think there'll be a decision after tonight's game between Arsenal and Leeds, just because ITV will be holding out for Arsenal to slip up into a replay. Will be up on websites tomorrow morning I reckon. Whether it is on tv or not, let's just hope we smash them! Come on Leicester.
broughtonblue Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Tv or go to match? Neither, I'm at fookin work, I hate shifts!

Neutrals would probably prefer a local derby or a game with a real chance of an upset.
jonthefox Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Im going. At this rate forest will be berating us about attendances.
smudger63 Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Either way I'm there. Me too, and if it`s on tv it will kill the attendance, and could actually be quite embarrassing, considering the stuff our fans were coming out with about their fans not going to last saturdays game.

Ford Super Sunday Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 A poster on a forum who works for ITV in the sports department, and is very reliable, states that there are 2 ties to be shown live by both ITV and ESPN. Though if the ties are that bad they might just decide not to take any replays. Supposing Arsenal-Leeds is decided tonight, then the most attractive replay by far would be Wrexham-Brighton. After that it's a bit of a mess. Nothing of stand out and any lower league v Premier League matches are at the bigger teams ground. We are definitely in with a shout if 4 of 6 replays are shown. ESPN would be most likely. If ITV did take a second replay I think it'd be on ITV4.
Oh tommy wright Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Either way I'm there. Too right mate. That makes two of us.

Maybes Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Hmmmm. If its on the box I would seriously consider not going.
iancognito Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Going. It's a local derby and it's the Cup. If ITV are showing it I'll be even more glad to be going. Chiles, Keane (bound to be asked along, it's Florist) and Townsend make an TV game unwatchable. Not only that but any time Florist are on TV, the likes of Tyldesley can't help but mention "glory days" "the Clough era" and "sleeping giants". It's beyond cringeworthy. I'm surprised anyone would rather go to Barnsley in the league than this. One-off, decided-on-the-night cup tie against our biggest local rivals or mid-table championship football. No contest IMO.
RizLCFC Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 It's going to be live on ITV1, they have a showing on Wednesday 18th January, ESPN on Tuesday 17th

Would much rather Barnsley was 20k plus and Forest was 22/23k plus.

That's what I was thinking, and this game is going to be considerably cheaper than the Barnsley one unless you're a season ticket holder.
Guest MattP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 That's what I was thinking, and this game is going to be considerably cheaper than the Barnsley one unless you're a season ticket holder. I dunno, it's still only 3rd round...if it was a quarter final I'd agree but if I had the choice between the two the league game still stands at the minute. Whatever people think we are not going to win the FA Cup.

Nick Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Anybody got a link that states ITV1 are showing the Forest match on Wednesday? I can see the allocated slot but nowhere stating we are the featured match.......
