Raj Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Giving this some thought i think as fans we'd be silly to miss this game as stated above by HH. An evening KO V local opposition. FA Cup. A Knock Out game. For £15 ST holders. A chance to kick start our season(for the umpteenth time!!!) DO IT!
davieG Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I know there's been a few games lately, but TV or no TV, if I lived within an hour of the ground I'd be at the match. In years gone by FA and League cup games down Filbert Street were electric and there was never any thought of season ticket holders not attending the cup games. I'm not judging I just find it very strange why you'd not want to attend a home game. The first home cup game was always included in the ST price and would have helped the attendance of ST holders
maccfox Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I live an hour away from Leicester am a ST holder so gotta cough up for a ticket as I did on saturday and also have major problems arranging the time off from work especially at short notice but will always much rather be at the KP than watching on the box
Number 6 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I am about an hour away. Mid week travel and the cost of this after Xmas means I won't be attending. Hope it's on TV so I can watch but tbh I think there are 3 better fixtures than this.
ScouseFox Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Plastic comes to mind Poor plastic me. Or, the fact it costs about my life savings and takes 7 hours to get back, it's probably more the reason why i'd have liked it on tv.
Guest MattP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Is it me or do the fans who moan about others being "plastic" and not going to the football when they do usually come across as being sad lonely single old men with nothing but Leicester City Football Club in their life? Not knocking anyone's geniuine loyalty to the cause, all clubs need them, but the way some people talk you would think everyones whole world has to stop when Leicester City walk out onto a football pitch. Comes across as a bit sad to be honest.
I am Rod Hull Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I have`nt been since Man City last year. I`m plastic and proud.
Raj Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 My above post did not intend to 'hammer' those who chose not to attend. I initially thought about not going after going to the Forest shite game on Sat. But with the potential to be a decent game and for £15 its gotta ne worth it...no? I also HATE other "fans" who belittle those who cant go. The "plastic fans' post and "i love our fans" post is anal. Footy will soon be a show piece intended NOT for the average working class folk. It costs a fortune. And clubs have to pass this on to the simple folk to help pay Beckford and Co. their 20k a week. We,as fans do what we can for our club...but if it means missing a few games cost it costs too much so beit! Dont ridicule others for not going....you aint gonna get a fcuking medal for attending! im off....

This :-) Ive only been to one match all season and that was the real friendly I can't always get down cause I have to work weekends but I am damn sure going to this game forest at home under the lights that'll do me :-D
lestajigs Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 What the hell is all the plastic fans bollocks?? Are on telly or not ffs
MrFox781 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Im a season ticket holder and i will not be attending weather its on tv or not. mainly because i can't be arsed anymore. after what i saw agianst portsmouth no chance im freezing in the cold and spending twelve quid. rather save up for an away game, maybe Brighton next week.

HoustonFox Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Not been to a game this season either, went only to two last season. Such a plastic fan living 4800 miles away and getting up at 6am to listen / watch games...

Such a plastic fan living 4800 miles away and getting up at 6am to listen / watch games... It's only £450 odd return from Dallas to London now. Throw in a couple of nights hotel, train and match tickets and you could be here to watch us V Barnsley for about £800. Plastic bastard.
Salieri Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 So is it on the telly or not? (As a plastic fan I need to know!).
paddy Agyemang Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I live in Great Yarmouth and go to about 15 - 20 matches a season now that's commitment 4 hours there, 4 hours back lovely job me n my mate do about 10 away games and then 5 or 6 home ones
Head Honcho Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 It'll need to be resolved by tomorrow anyway as you have to give the police 7 days notice. I remember the days when the replays would have been played this week none of this 7 days notice and tickets nonsense!
StanSP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 So is it on the telly or not? (As a plastic fan I need to know!). No

Although adding a trip to Dallas would indeed put the price up and then prove I should have my plastic status removed. Last time I was at Barnsley away was in 1995 and we drew 2-2 and then I got the flu because we were all sat in the uncovered away end in the pouring rain. Glad we have that King Power Stadium now, way better for me to sit in a nice comfy chair eating my prawn sandwiches...

Well said Matt, I am not going to the replay regardless of whether its televised, its the first home game ive missed for 2 years, it'll be a bonus if its on TV but after xmas I cannot justify tickets, petrol and a bite to eat going to the game straight from work, I think its all too easy to dismiss people as plastic fans, but perhaps the way football treats us with shocking ticket prices, rip off food and drink deals etc its the people who go are the mugs these days not the ones that stayaway.
I am Rod Hull Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 In the 80`s it used to be about £3 to get in and I was taking home about £160-170 a week, now its £30 to get in but I dont earn £1,600-1,700 a week. Do the maths and see what value you`re getting for your money. I`d rather be plastic than stupid....
Matt Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Don't think i'm bothering, I really cannot get into this season, for one reason or another, Maybe it's the hype at the start of the season only to be disappointed (Although I should be used to that being a Leicester fan for many years), I had blamed it on the start/stop due to England games just felt like we never had a run of games at the start of the season but I still feel the same now and we've had a decent run of games now, maybe it's just general disappointment (But like I said before should be used to that being a Leicester fans for many years), maybe it's the overpayed players, it's probably a mixture of it all. Anyway I just can't get excited or 'up for games' this season, really struggled, so doubt i'll be buying an extra ticket outside my season ticket for this, it's different with away games because I will by tickets outside my season ticket for them because they are a laugh and good drinking days and going somewhere different. That said no doubt i'll be finishing work on the Wednesday or whenever this game is going to be played and end up going...
