A fair few people on here go to uni in Sheffield, Wednesday are a big club (far more so than Charlton), they're owned by our former chairman and were - until recently - managed by our former gaffer. Other than Smuts' fetish for Powell, nobody here gives a flying **** about Charlton. I'm genuinely staggered you're narcissistic enough to have not noticed that after nearly five years of being an irrelevance on this forum.

He'd be too old anyway

You love me really

I had a great laugh during the general post-match phone-in on radio 5 when some Wednesday supporter phoned in. The lad claimed that "Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and the likes are looking down the table, waiting for the day when Wednesday are back in the Premier League" and went on to clarify that "Sheffield Wednesday are MASSIVE!". :D

We're on SS2 today, get watching you Foxes!

I am watching. It's been largely disappointing so far and after our own season I'm not sure I can take the second half :D

And less than a minute after posting that Wednesday score an absolute cracker lol

Charlton are a joke. No supporters at all until premiership promotion when they started doing free buses and £5 tickets from all over Kent.

No other club cares about them. Even Gillingham - identified above as a rival - don't care about them.

So we started doing the coaches in 2000? I don't think so. And the coaches arent ****ing free, how is £7 free? Learn to count. The £5 ticket offer started last season to make the club more money, nothing wrong with that is there?

And no fans? How about the ones who have been going since the 50's and 60's?

Now **** off

Everyone knows Charlton are up, not sure who i want for the next place out of Utd and Wednesday.

Been to Sheff Wed a few times and we always lose so think i want Utd instead, and think they will do it anyway.

It aint over yet, we need 12 points to mathematically confirm the title but I think 9 will secure it..3/4 wins from 6 games left, should be achievable

You sound like our fans when we were in League 1, despite the fact you have run away with it like we did. You wont cock it up, we did our best to at one point but won by a mile in the end. You'll do the same.

Thanks for the abuse.

Now to answer your well thought out and probing questions

I don't know when the coaches first started, but I was getting mailshotted at home in East Malling (a village in Kent) to get a bus from Maidstone and a match ticket which was a fiver. Whether the club was allocating that fiver to the ticket or the coach is irrelevant. Quite a few non-Charlton fans went just to see other teams. In fairness, it might have started earlier, and I think when it was premiership, it may have been £12 transport and ticket. The marketing at the time caused a lot of amusement to many Gills fans - and other clubs' fans round here as the flyer had pictures of premiership stars on it - not Charlton players and the tagline was 'come to the Valley and see superstars in action every week' or similar. Nothing like selling your own product right?

As for the fans who have been going since the 50s/60s, granted, there are a few, but not many. The Valley is extremely quiet. Every club has a loyal fanbase of some sort - yours is insignificant. Very small for a club which thinks its big news round here.

For what its worth, a couple of my friends are proper Charlton fans and are embarrassed by the way the club markets itself and the very casual nature of most of the fans.

Casual fandom is no great sin, but don't be coming here and telling me Charlton have even similar support to a Sheffield Wednesday or a Leicester City.

How bad have Preston become?

Used to be play-off regulars in the Championship (lost two finals and other semi-finals), now 16th in League One and only six points above the bottom four.

One of the worst teams to come to Hillsborough this season

We managed to thump them 5-2 down here, was 4-0 at half time...hopefully a repeat on April 28th

I don't want confrontation, but you were acting the big man earlier, swearing at me in a post and when I civilly answered your question, I note you've ignored it.

Playing a centre half at right mid and a centre half released by Aldershot up front is truly laughable. Don't know much about Westley but is he a non ginger Megson
