daddylonglegs Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He has proved he has a fantastic football mind. Admittedly he picked the wrong side today. But this isn't his squad. Mills has let him down time and time again. His midfield of old isnt good enough anymore. And I believe he can see that, and he is willing to spend. Another thing I'd like to say is do not get on peters back. Minus schmeichel he has been our best player this season, and often he has led our attacks from right backs. Rates for today Schmeichel-10 as usual, outstanding. Peltier-4 not his usual self, at fault for both goals, never mind. Mills-6 yes he had an assist but distribution poor as usual. Tunchev-7 average. Konchesky-8 better from him today. Danns-6decent, not as good as he has been, decent link up play King-5 needs a break, get him back to his former self. Wellens-5 poor. Needs to be a bench player. Get Johnson back. Dyer- 7good. Well taken goal. Gally-6 not good enough Nugent-6 dissapointing for his standard.
ozleicester Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 the side he picked today was wrong the formation he set up today was wrong the tactis he played today were wrong his substituion came too late (as usual) Then he comes out and says we/the club have delusions of granduer and that we have a poor squad... FOOK OFF!

Webbo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Agree. Typical Pearson, a youth team player would of done a better job than beckford. Who would you have brought on instead of Beckford?
pen2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 the side he picked today was wrong the formation he set up today was wrong the tactis he played today were wrong his substituion came too late (as usual) Then he comes out and says we/the club have delusions of granduer and that we have a poor squad... FOOK OFF! Agreed...... then he waits for the last 17 minutes to bring on Beckford.... this is a nightmare terrible performance.. brilliant football brain...my arse!!!
dog_4 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 he played the wrong formation because he didnt have the players to play the right one, which he said in his interview, also said he prefers 4-4-2 and then highlighted he hasn't got the players to do it! He's after wingers,he's after strikers! give him time, he knows what he's doing!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Needs a new fookin midfield - that's where I'd start. Honestly wish we'd sold King to Everton tbf. when we had the chance.
whitwickfox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I never wanted Pearson back and I have expressed on here many times what pearsons football is about. He hasn't got a football brain, far from it. No plan b never has had one, and now his plan a comes into question. The fans won't get rid of him, that guy sitting behind him will,
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Don't get on Pearson's back? Why the hell not? For a million quid a year, making stupid statements, and not getting results, are we supposed to praise the man? I don't bloody think so. So much for this geezer walking on water. lol
ithuriel Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Not heard his interview but if he said poor squad he might have a point. Forward line at present; Nugent......good player Gallagher..support striker or attacking midfielder Dyer..........winger with pace who is commited Howard.....????????????? Beckford... Schlupp....injured Vassel......injured

FrankieADZ Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 its amazing how when Pearson came back he was god etc & now its sack him....hes crap etc. i know results have been up & down but chrsit all mighty make up ur minds.
topharry123 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Too right he is picking a squad that someone else built, that failed under the manager that picked them. Let's just face it the squad isn't as good as we thought it was when we signed all them players and no manager is going to be able to turn them into a title winning team. We need new players and Pearson will sign them and build his own squad. It worked last time so give him a chance to do it again rather than jumping on his back. He picks the players that he has, and right now there's not many more in the squad that he could have changed today.
sdb Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 a lot of fans on here are very young and immature. they know nothing but the chop and change culture we have at this club. it's not their fault they're thick as ****. they've never known anything different then to moan and ask for managerial sackings.

He's after wingers,he's after strikers! give him time, he knows what he's doing! I agree with this. Pearson is paid to make decisions and take the flak so if people want to boo him or the players then fair enough. I don't think it will overly bother him. I trust him to get it right.

He gets us promoted and then how long before every team works out his style of play? How long do you think he would last in the prem? Then we sack him and end up doing it all again! Shipping out all his Hoff ball players to sign new technical players....
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 N.P. is doing far worse than we did under Sven Two years ago Sven saved us from almost certain relegation, and although this season did not start as well as hoped, he was sacked with us TWO points off the play offs. Now with the so called Saviour back, we have degenerated into a heap of garbage. Actions speak louder than words, methinks.

Funny how Nugent, Schmeichel, Pelts and Konchesky (who's signings?) have probably been our best 4 players. How good have Kingy, Wellens, Gally and Dyer been so far?

I have seen no evidence at all of this. If he has such a fantastic footballing mind why did he make the mistakes you have identified today???
BNET Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Fantastic footballing mind ! i've heard the lot now...
The People's Hero Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I don't understand the clamouring the Johnson. The man is a busted flush. Recent pictures show him carrying loads of excess weight. Move on. Pearson deserves the stick he is currently getting.
Cruss5 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 His interview shows he is feeling the pressure and a desperate man, saying things like 'I know what needs to be done but its a difficult job' 'The squad isn't as big as you think' 'Hopefully we can bring the players i want in' All good excuses but the fact is the players look like they have no guidance at all with what to do. Its almost like a game on the park where you sort of have positions but no plan on what to do
leicesterisme Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 You say play Johnson but how do we know what physical shape he is in, looking at when he did play he certainly wasn't in the right shape that's for sure.
