Corky Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Wonder if Derby County legend and summariser extraordinaire Craig Burley will be in the commentary team tonight?
Johnno1865 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Hello, Forest fan in peace here..... I've read through some of this thread and while you're clearly not happy with your current form, I was surprised at how much negativity is around the place. At least you can score a goal and appear to have some ambition/something to look forward to! On the other hand, we are diabolically shite. We can't pass, score, win. The manager is a plank and the managment of the club is about as a effective as a one legged man in a bum kicking contest. I'm one of the few forest fans who 'enjoys' the Leicester rivalry as much as the Derby one (grew up locally, work in Leicester & have lots of Leicester mates - well they're mates most of the times!) and even i can't muster up the desire to go to this game. Forest are doing their upmost to kick the supporter out of me. I've absolutely no doubt we'll get spanked tonight and quite frankly we deserve nothing more. Seriously expect it to be 3/4/5-0. i would consider it a successful evening if we have a shot on target. Not that this game matters anyway, whoever wins will no doubt lose to the mighty swindon. That's just how things seem to work for east midlands clubs! Cheers
Thracian Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Can't believe I'm missing tonight's game because the fixture's been rearranged to clash with a prior engagement. Off to Southampton Monday and looking forward to playing my lad on the golf course where they made the famous James Bond Goldfinger golf scenes...and where he's now a chef. We're both looking forward to a par rounds, at least two birdies each and then driving on to Southampton to see us revive our promotion challenge with a 2-0 win.... http://stokepark.com/history-and-movies/movie-history.html
1964FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I bet Swindon fans are rubbing their hands and wondering who they will get in fifth round. Johno1865 thanks for admiting to disliking Leicester it seems nowadays any Forest fan that does has to attend a group like AA and stand up and say ''I'm a Forest fan and I don't like Leicester''
Johnno1865 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Hope there are no racist chants at this one!!!!!! agreed!

philce Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Hope there are no racist chants at this one!!!!!! Keep your mouth shut then Raj!! See you later! Remember our seats will be getting cold tonight!
1964FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Hope there are no racist chants at this one!!!!!! I'm informed They are going to sing ''Well sing what we want, we'll sing what we want, we're Nottingham Forest, we'll sing what we want.'' Any truth in that Johnno?
jonlcfc1990 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Just a quick thought for tonights game against forest, Tension and frustration have been high and very apparent so far at home and not without reason i understand that but with one quarter of the ground empty and full of scum it means a lot of L K will be closer to the Kop now i just thought we should make the most of this opertunity and start strong with an atmosphere. I don't mean anything like the poznan or an organized thing i just thought we could do a sort of roll call of all the players songs. so we start with the usual the players names are called out we cheer followed by hey jude but then work into a sort of roll call of players just to show we support all of them and then as a team. i can't remember the last time i heard Wellens chanted or king maybe it might just lift the harshness of barnsley. i'm not saying we start them one after the other i just thought it would be nice for them to hear throughout the game and maybe give them all a lift and then they can lift us. For example in no particular order Kasper Schmichael Konchesky Matt Mills Tunchev Richie Wellens Gally Andy king Everybody danns now Dyer Nugent Beckford ETC I just think if we support them all individually and then finish with something like when your smiling or come on leicester it would give them all a lift and it would get a good atmosphere going early. Being on the losing team is never easy but if we show them we are ready to start again and support through thick and thin i think we could get a really positive feeling and a result Thoughts?
forest39 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I'm informed They are going to sing ''Well sing what we want, we'll sing what we want, we're Nottingham Forest, we'll sing what we want.'' Any truth in that Johnno? Yeah ive heard that
jonlcfc1990 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I guess i could of but i didn't quite think it went there i do apologise.
Churchill Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I think a win tonight could really help us if we give forest a good beating, play some good football and give us fans something to sing about it will hopefully raise there confidence and hopefully string a few results together. A win tonight and something at Southampton could really turn things around.
m00nie Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 alot of people dont get to teh ground/seat in time now for pre match songs.. and whilst it would be good to sing the players like the old days would take more than just a thread on here to get it going..
Babylon Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I'm informed They are going to sing ''Well sing what we want, we'll sing what we want, we're Nottingham Forest, we'll sing what we want.'' Wow how original. Why doesn everyone sing EVERYTHING to the same shitty tune these days?

I meant in the game not before, Like i said not like the Poznan at forest is was more just to sing there name atleast once with a bit of support like we did when Beckford came on on Saturday

Completely agree mate .............................but You only have to read the majority of posts on this forum to know it just won't happen .......their only happy when they are slagging the players, manager and owners off !!
Danno Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Eh sorry pal, there's **** loads of threads at the moment and it's doing my head in
Kitchandro Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Wonder if Derby County legend and summariser extraordinaire Craig Burley will be in the commentary team tonight? Thankfully I'm a CRAP so I won't have to listen to him (though I'll be taping it so actually I will hear a bit). I'll never be less bothered about a game against Forest than I am today. I'll go to the match with exactly the same attitude as I've gone to the last 3 home games; expecting nothing. I'm hoping to be surprised with a good atmosphere and us scraping a win.
Brooksy Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Have a feeling Beckford will score tonight ....
Kitchandro Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Wow how original. Why doesn everyone sing EVERYTHING to the same shitty tune these days? A million times this
BrummieFOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Wow how original. Why doesn everyone sing EVERYTHING to the same shitty tune these days? God, tell me about it!! Walking to the Donny ground a few weeks back there were a group of Leicester fans and a group of Donny fans walking closely and having a bit of good natured 'banter' (shudder) and singing at each other. They exchanged 3 or 4 songs each but ALL with this same tune. It sounded ridiculous. Have we completely lost the terrace wit which makes supporting football enjoyable over other sports??
1964FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Wow how original. Why doesn everyone sing EVERYTHING to the same shitty tune these days? There are quite a few original things we could sing back suggesting we have stopped them being racist but I fear it could just incite them to return to the normal chants subject of racism thread so have to put up with it.
