Saxondale Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Of course we need another CB I agree but any new CB would surely be cover for Mills / Tunch / Bamba, and anyone of decent quality will get upset at not playing (ie. St Ledger). And if we're going to sign a player who is unproven as cover, then we may as well rely on George Taft or whoever else. So, in my opinion, the only option here is to sign somebody BETTER than our existing CBs.

Well on this forum , City just putting in an offer means whatever player it is, is about to sign for us, and is bound to want to come here, because he surely wouldn`t be interested in any offers, from other clubs!Also of course,any club that are not willing to sell a player to us, that we want, are a disgrace, and should just roll over and let us cherry pick their best players!

Surely we can't afford to wait another week for Billy Sharp to asses his options, give him till Friday, then we need to Boot Billy into touch and move on to our next target.

Are we really going to wait that long???

Are we really going to wait that long??? I do think we need to get players in sooner rather than later. I think getting in midfielders is more important though, I'd have hoped we'd have one in by the beginning of next week. If Sharp misses one more game it's not a catastrophe, if he comes I'm confident it'll be before Southampton. We still aren't being linked with centre mids though, does Nigel seriously think what we've got in that area is good enough? If he does he'll be proved wrong by the end of the season.

Well if he thinks sticking by his part time buddy will do it he's wrong imo. And with our owners may well get the sack. I do think after the summer when Sven and Top got pissed about all the talk of who we was after being leaked. We may now be doing most of our business a little more covertly. Look how Top and his dad did the business for a new manager.
