Financial fairplay has ruined deadline day

Last year, £235m spent in the window with £135m on deadline day alone...this year spending has only just broke through £40m barrier & that's through the whole of the window

Two years back it was 29m. Still been a lot of deals today, just not big money.

Don't we still need to strengthen? I think we might be leaving ourselves short why did we waste so much time with Stewart when we knew Dull wouldn't play ball and Kebe we knew just wanted the money. On a side note Bristol and Rangers got their comeuppance we offer 6 for Maynard he's gone for 2.5 (apparently) and as for jelavic 9 mill could of kept the. Bailiffs away all season they said no and now they are forced to sell him to stop themselves being in Evertons debt over ball. So so sad.

StringerSportIan Stringer

To confirm I'm the only 1 at King Powers Stadium (with my mate Dale) No business expected and training ground has academy staff #lcfc done

no surprise signings then.. think we could have done with more myself.. would have liked to have seen howard go and replaced for starters..

Deals might not be being carried out at the ground or the training ground. I'd believe fourth official over stringer all day long the blokes an arse.

Sordell was strongly linked with a move to Fulham, Cardiff or Leicester on Twitter.

But now Sky Sports understands Bolton are the favourites to sign him.

Snodgrass and McGugan also playing tonight for their respective clubs, so I doubt we will expect any more activity.

lets all just leave it, we're clearly addicted to the madness that is transfer deadline day, and we're all rocking back and fourth hoping for something to happen when in fact; "its all gone quiet over there"

I'm sure we'll snap up a loanee or two once the (loan) window re-opens.

I agree, some of the fees being branded about today are just crazy.

I for one don't hate him he takes ok free kicks, very good penno's and has a good right foot. But his work rate is very poor he's slow and never wins a tackle/header he's not good enough.

that is complete and utter bollocks he wins more then Dyer does but he never gets that said about him, probably as many if not more then Wellens too

I'm not sure his work rate is that bad. He's slow and can't tackle or head, agreed, these things make it lok like he's not trying when in fact he's closing and chasing people down.

The main criticism of him is his inconsistency, because on his day he's very effective, he's the best crosser and shooter that we have. He's scored plenty of goals due to his willingness to shoot when others won't, and the frequency that he tests the keeper from outside of the box is very good. But when he's having a bad day he's absolutely useless and this is why he needs competition for his place at least.

No doubt he can be frustrating but it's fairly obvious that there is an extreme bias against him from a large number of fans. Take the Swindon game for example, he was getting moaned at for every mistake whilst those that others made (often worse ones) went generally unmentioned. And on here there is a lot of purposeful dodging of praise for him when he has a good game (Crystal Palace post-match thread for example)

As an aside, I also find it disappointing that we are 1-0 up and there are anti-Gallagher chants from young kids, with their parents not explaining to them that that's not how you should support your team.

he was also plainly not fit against Swindon, anyone that's ever had back pain will tell you how uncomfortable that is, but he had to play as we litewrally had no-one else available

Yeh but dyer works tirelessly for the full 90 minutes and always gives 110% for the team where as Gallagher rarely gives more than 50% and is more interested in how his hair and boots look !

Dyer didn't work for 90 min if u put the last 2 games together.
