bluearmy7 Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 It's painfully obvious to the majority that the atmosphere at the Walkers/King Power Stadium has never been good. However, last night. We started doing the 'We Love You' chants. And for the first time in our new home, all 4 stands were singing. We were louder than the Boro' fans as they celebrated going 2-1 up and our SUPPORT won us a point during a game that could have ended up a disaster with officiating controversies. So answer me this. Why on earth, are there some fans still labelling the song as 'cringeworthy' and a 'copy'. Here's some facts for your mardy arses. The vast majority of chants are copied. It's not Crystal Palace's. WYS is perhaps the only song that is exclusive to our club so why on Earth is this such a problem? I'm sure you're more than happy to belt out the dull, monotonous, repetitive Leicester chants. The fact of the matter is, it gave our ground atmosphere, created unity amongst our fans and I was proud to support us last night. So if you think it's 'gay' or 'queer' or 'cringeworthy' to support our club then do everyone a favour and STAY AT HOME. couldn't of put it better myself it was a great atmosphere and it kept me warm jumping up and down its a great chant one which last night proved anybody can join in with , i too was proud last night .whoever says it was cringeworthy they are better off going 30 miles up the road to scumland they would welcome another boring tw#t up there
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Also one more point to make, is that I came back home yesterday feeling proud of the atmosphere we generated in the second half. I'd rather we sing our hearts out and draw/ or lose, than just sit their watching the game quietly in a library and win. Get behind the boys and stay positive! The players will be able to hear the noise we make, and it will hopefully spur them on to get a result like last night. Booing and groaning isn't going to help its only going to put pressure on the players.
HEGGSY Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 I'd rather we sing our hearts out and draw/ or lose, than just sit their watching the game quietly in a library and win. Really ? I thought the atmosphere was great last night also. I loved it and it was a pleasant change to the library it usually is, but surely we all want City to win, do we not? COYB !!
The Padster Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 It was the first ever game at home where I came back home with no voice. Without sounding like I'm against the general idea, surely this, that I've quoted, is part of the problem? I rarely leave the football with less than a sandpaper-like throat because I have been singing/shouting etc all game regardless of who else is doing it. You can't wait for others to start something, start it yourself.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 cant wait to be loud and proud at brighton!
jonthefox Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 After scoring, the poznan and then we love you would be awesome. so weve copied them, so what. Boring shit like "who are ya", and " i wanna go home " etc, are all rip offs.

Babylon Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 I said, if they tell me what I should be doing regarding the support of my team. Who I pay to watch, they can rightly fox off. Who has done that exactly then and why aren't you just addressing them directly.
FuriousFox46 Posted 2 February 2012 Author Posted 2 February 2012 Who has done that exactly then and why aren't you just addressing them directly. How am I supposed to know whether they're on this forum. Get your head out of your arse. You support the club how you like and we'll do the same. If you criticise the way our fans support our club. Then you're a tool. Fact.

Boring shit like "who are ya", and " i wanna go home " etc, are all rip offs. Now the poznan I do object to, notably because I sit between an old woman and a fat man, both of whom refuse to stand up, thus leaving me looking like a breeding salmon trying to get upstream as I try and fly the solo poznan
Shit_arse Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Have to disagree Those who don't want to chant have exactly the same right to come to the games as those that ''chant'' Just because your not comfortable or don't enjoy chanting doesn't mean you support the club any less .......cue torrent of abuse!

Urgh, Another person who has failed to read the post. Although, ideally I'd prefer everyone to sing, if you don't that's fine. I don't have an issue with it. My grievance is with people who tell me not to sing certain songs which generate a great atmosphere because they're 'cringeworthy' and 'queer'.
Captain... Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 To those that don't like it because you want something original, try it, do something original see how it goes. I will say one thing if it takes a song ripped off from palace to get the stadium jumping then so be it, it will pave the way for more original songs to catch on.
SaltyDog Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Now the poznan I do object to, notably because I sit between an old woman and a fat man, both of whom refuse to stand up, thus leaving me looking like a breeding salmon trying to get upstream as I try and fly the solo poznan LMFAO!!! that statement nearly made me pee my pants, in fact, i think a little wee may have come out! Move over to K1/L1 with us you can Breed with us all

Move over to K1/L1 with us you can Breed with us all Believe it or not I sit in L1, about a third of the way up. Next time we score I'll try and ride the crest of the fans and swim my way up to the back
Poakey Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 I kept hearing a group of people shouting something on the way out of L1 last night, at the time I thought it was "sssseeeeeaaaaatttttssss", but now the more I think about it after reading some people's comments on here maybe it was "sshheeeeppp"? Hope I'm wrong.

I'm sorry, are you aware of the exposure I have to our fans? Some have told people not to sing it. In the ground last night. Why is it cringeworthy? None of your black cloud parade can come up with any reason.

No, I was told that? I didn't go back on my statement. This selective reading will land you in shit one day, mate. Okay, so abandon all other songs every 12 months old. Great, we don't have any then. It came from abroad, shall we get rid of Bamba and Schmeichel then? Other teams sing... "I wanna go home." "By far the greatest team"... Any issues with those? Doubtful. Stop clutching at straws, you're a miserable git intent on ruining everyone else's fan. Don't like it. Tough, you'll have to put up with it.
