Corky Posted 2 September 2012 Posted 2 September 2012 Nowhere near good enough to be in as a bowler. He's looked decent here because the pitch and conditions have been conducive. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slating his bowling, but he's very much a part timer. He is a part-timer, but that's the only reason for keeping him in right now. Won with a flourish, Kieswetter smacking Steyn for a huge six.
purpleronnie Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 well were struggling, surely bopara wont be picked again?
Corky Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 182 all out, ridiculous amount of soft dismissals. Has to be ron, he's had enough time and not done it. Get KP back in to replace him.
ScouseFox Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Good start, could still be a game on here. Although Amla is at the crease so don't hold your breath.
ScouseFox Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Ohhh Jimmy Jimmmmmmmy! 14-3 after nearly 5 overs.
purpleronnie Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 not sure what amla's average is against england on this tour but it must be immense.
Corky Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Thrashed. We threw away far too many wickets. Anderson bowled brilliantly but wasn't backed up. 2-2 is fair.
marko Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Just got back, and what a waste of time and money - they were pretty hopeless! Don't think Ravi will get to many the England shirt on many more times! His average for this series must be something like 5 or 6.

Guest MattP Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 He'll stil get in somehow, would love to know what he's got on the selectors, how someone with his averages who has so consistently failed against any decent sides still plays I have no idea. Anyway positive from the series we stay number 1 despite missing some key players and Cook is proving still what a fantastic captain he is going to be for many years. Oh and Bairstow. The kid is so so special, possesses more talent that anyone I've seen at that age.
Leicesterpool Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 On the subject of cricket I see my beloved Warwickshire are the county champions for 2012!
Corky Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Looking like we'll get around 120, nowhere near enough unless they throw their wickets away like we've done.

Its a trait I thought we'd overcome but it seems not. I have to say I don't think is our strongest 20/20 lineup....bit surprsied by it...how bopora keeps getting in is beyond me.

It's not, Pietersen should be in there, I'd have Bell back, Anderson (who for some reason doesn't play 20/20 cricket) included.
purpleronnie Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Luke wright must be close to having a game.
purpleronnie Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Things have got interesting if we can get kallis out we might win this???????????
purpleronnie Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Kallis proving the key man....I would say they've missed him but they've done okwell without him....proving I guess how strong a side SA are.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 It's T20 catch but not worthy of a new thread, but you need to see this catch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23ZOTe5T6as Oh and we are now 10th in the World for T20 one behind Ireland who are 9th

ScouseFox Posted 12 September 2012 Posted 12 September 2012 Smashed it around for fun in these 11 overs! Butler's come in and hit 31 off his first 9 balls, 3 ridiculously big sixes. Kieswetter hit 50 from 32, good form and confidence for the T20 World Cup.
Guest MattP Posted 12 September 2012 Posted 12 September 2012 That was a fantastic over from Buttler. He's got the talent just bringing it together, happened there.
ScouseFox Posted 12 September 2012 Posted 12 September 2012 118 from 11 overs. Including 32 from one over, not bad.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 September 2012 Posted 12 September 2012 Is any one really bothered about the T20 WC?
