Milton Keynes Fox Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 http://www.mirrorfoo..._medium=twitter Fans and Players extra fired up for tomorrows game says nigel pearson. Deserved it's on thread i guess, i'm going tomorrow and definitely going to be fired up! £25 ticket for a 16 year old too COME ON CITY; Quarter finals awaits! Nigel Pearson admits Leicester's players and "tainted" fans are extra fired for their FA Cup clash at Norwich after a huge ticket row. The Championship Foxes visit Carrow Road tomorrow in the fifth round. The visitors expected 4,200 tickets, which is 15 per cent of capacity as per FA Cup rules, but will now get just 2,400. Norfolk County Council's safety advisory group decided to reduce the visitors' allocation at the 27,000-capacity ground. And boss Pearson admitted: "Our allocation of tickets has caused an awful lot of debate from our perspective. "We are disappointed we can't take the number of fans we thought we would be able to take. "Apparently our fans have been described as high-risk which I find quite an interesting observation by which ever authority has decided that is the case. "We took 8,000 to Nottingham Forest in the third round which was a local derby. "I don't think there was any fall-out from that. "I think we should have had about 4,200 for this and we have got 2,400. "It is disappointing for our fans but authorities make decisions based on the criteria they work to." Pearson now hopes the row will enable visiting fans are louder than normal to compensate as the top-flight Canaries are formidable at home. He added: "Some extra fans would have been nice but I am sure our fans will make a bit of noise for us. "I know it has caused a lot of not just bad feeling but our fans feel their reputation has been tainted and tarnished by someone else's opinions. "I am still not sure about the reasons for it but we will be trying to put a good show on." Pearson admits the FA Cup has always been a special event for him and played in the final in 1997 when Middlesbrough lost to Chelsea. He said: "It is a cup competition certainly my generation hold in high esteem and I know our players are looking forward to the game which is the most important thing."

Matt Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Have norwich sold all their tickets? The kick in the teeth? Norwich have about 750 unsold
Corky Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Have norwich sold all their tickets? Some available on general sale.
JBG Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 At close of business tonight there were around 200 restricted view seats left so will be close to capacity apart from seats left empty for segregation. Don't know where you have read about the price putting people off, its a cheap game at half the price of a normal Cat A game. The problem is its the FA cup and a lot of fans just aren't bothered. There were around 10,000 season ticket holders who have not taken up the cup option for this game and because of the restriction on sales a people not on Norwich database could not buy tickets. If its anything like the last cup game it will be full of kids.

Guest shearfox Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Anyone that says they are not bothered by the FA cup are talking utter shite. They certainly are, win this game we are only one win from Wembley....
HEGGSY Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Anyone that says they are not bothered by the FA cup are talking utter shite. Agreed, I'm sure they would be if it meant walking down Wembley way.
wellyfox Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Would have thought it was more about the players being up for it than the fans. If the players go out and rip into a 2 goal lead the fans will be up for it. Concentrate on the players Nige not the fans.

Number 6 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Despite a lot of the crap in recent years, including the joke that was last season's final, the FA Cup is still special. I hope we're in it as long as possible.
