jonlcfc1990 Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Wow, it seems we only ever get a good ref when we win. No it probably wasn't a penalty but it's not the first time they've been given and it won't be the last. Yes, it crossed the line but it wasn't exactly clearly over was it? And was a split second decision. Stop complaining about the ref and just try to enjoy the game. How can you enjoy it when the decisions that can cost a game are early wrong?
Leicfox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Since that game with Gavin Ward (that's right I swore)! Decisions are constantly going against us that aren't even 50-50 but just plain and simply ridiculous and even opposition fans don't understand them. My theory is that Pearson wasn't fined because referees stick up for referees and the fine has actually come in the referees decisions against us. Also I think this has spread to punishing the players who are getting into trouble for decent when it is only against us these calls. The union has hit us again today!!! Can any referees confirm this union? Finally, what think of the irony if we won the FA cup with it seemingly being the FA vs Leicester City this season. This post needs to be in this thread....http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/79890-conspiracy-theories/
Stand UP... Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 even the byist commentators on the stream i'm watching said leicester have had majority of possession
TheUltimateWinner Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Your all missing out on some epic half time entertainment on the stream im on, Full of pitch invasions and everything! Also, The goal we should of had isn't the ref's fault, Its the linesman's.
Jace Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 same ref that cheated us out the chelsea game many years ago Seriously? not the 1 that screwed us from winning the double in this very same round 15 years ago?
Salieri Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Just for once, let justice be done then we won't give a flying fvck about the twat of a referee.
HoustonFox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 According to BBC website, they're having 55% of the possession. Didn't see that myself. Thought it was about equal. Right, kettle on! Opta had us at 55. I know who I believe...
Grewks Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Looks a team much more committed than that against watford. Been very impressed with the back four who are up against a norwich first team attack arguably, morrison or holt usually dont play together. Marshall and dyer have been very impressive, i do believe however that now we have two out and out wide players dyer will find more space as we are playing with more width, not that i am against gallagher but he does often come far too central, but this is required in some games. Impressed by Kennedy aswell, does seem to have a youthful advantage over konchesky, and seems to be slightly more alert and quick. Again, i have nothing against konchesky who has been our most consistent player this season. Beckford looks fairly sharp in all honesty as too nugent, both linking up together better than morrison and hoolahan. Just wish in games like this we would play a midfielder instead of nuge or beckford, nuge is dropping deep anyway into the whole, maybe we have someone who can sit in the hole and offer an easy ball out from danns and ritchie. Only weakness is in central midfield, danns and ritchie are giving the ball away too often, however so too are the whole norwich midfield. Cant wait for the second half. Morgan looks very decent for his £1 million pricetag.
steveherbe Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Shite refs, we always get shite refs....... nuff said
gazfox9 Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Everyone going on about the Morgan 'goal' I think are missing the point. The speed of the incident and the ball rebounding back out so close after crossing the line meant that there is always going to be doubt in the mind of the ref and assistants, and such they cannot give a goal - in such situations you HAVE to be certain to give it. Just an example of human error and the need for technology in such circumstances. Happens all too often. well I'm 95% certain had that been the other end, a goal would have been awarded.
andog Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 same ref that cheated us out the chelsea game many years ago Think you'll find that was Mike Reed, not Mike Dean
leicsmac Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 The sooner goalline video technology is implemented and such decisions are taken out of the hands of the ref, the better. There's too much at stake, it happens too often, and the human eye simply cannot follow incidents like that in the way video can. I mean shit, it would take all of 10 seconds to see it crossed the line on replay. Anyway...it's been a good half - we've showed promise, now let's get into them in the second half and make this whole discussion moot!
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Come on Leicester, storming 2nd half please (in a good way)
Stand UP... Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Think you'll find that was Mike Reed, not Mike Dean Thats the one
sampears18 Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 How can you enjoy it when the decisions that can cost a game are early wrong? Because these things happen. It's football and you have to get over it, poor decisions happen to every team. Referees don't have superpowers and until goal-line technology is introduced these things will continue to happen. Looking at it from the Norwich point of view, it's quite clear that an argument could be made for the penalty so if he didn't give it then the Norwich fans would be up in arms arguing the same thing seemingly everyone on here is arguing. Referees can't win.
NeilyBoy Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Just for once, let justice be done then we won't give a flying fvck about the twat of a referee. Justice being a Leicester victory whenever we play?
Larry_LCFC Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 WTF is with Danns. How many times is he going to lose the ball. He has no urgency whatsoever!
ScouseFox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Dyer loves those volleys over the bar from 6 yards. Ahhh.
Dan Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Because these things happen. It's football and you have to get over it, poor decisions happen to every team. Referees can't win. "These things happen" Trust me, I can get over it when it happens occasionally but we're having literally 50%+ of our games absolutely ruined by refs. I've actually never seen anything like it.
HoustonFox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Neil Danns 96% pass completion... thought he kept giving the ball away!!!! Wow, maybe they aren't counting when he tries to control it but it goes 5 yds ahead of him as pass. I love him really. Bid for his shirt in the poppy auction. Bring Howard on for the dodgy keeper?
ScouseFox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Elliott Bennett can get the fcuk up for a change. Bellend.
