Kitchandro Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 1-0 Bossed it first half, Derby were typically shocking. Some worrying moments second half and tbh we were poor. Ground out the result though and pretty solid at the back.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Great win, danns was superb first half although my man of the match was big wes morgan, looked solid. Coventry at home is a MUST WIN game if we're to challenge for the play offs; 8 points off play offs and if results go our way with a win against coventry we can get that down to 5, 14 games to go, but we MUST beat coventry. Brilliant result against a team who looked good second half LEICESTER
Kitchandro Posted 23 February 2012 Author Posted 23 February 2012 Nigel's post match interview spicy as always 'Nice try' Morgan was terrific. Strikers had poor games and midfield non-existent the second half. I'm not making any more of this other than it's a win and I'm pleased. Play-offs is still fantasy talk and I'm more bothered about the cup now.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 I want to rub me fruitbowl on Nigel
Number 6 Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Why were the scummy b*st*rds booing Lloyd? Hate Direby with a passion. Great interview with Nige - he's so boring but I bloody love him!
Christoph Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 First half was awesome. Second half I still thought we played decent, defended very well but decided to drop deep and play off the counter more which was fine if we could score. I thought Morgan was a beast and certainly warrants his place again and nobody was getting past konchesky. Dyer played really well in the first half but faded pretty badly in the second (how did he miss that goal late on?!). Wasn't that impressed with beckford, didnt do much at all. Nugent was really unlucky with that header...was a great save. Won ugly towards the end which is a good sign. Two winnable games in the championship coming up, if we win those two then surely the ball is back in our court what with birmingham and reading after
Guest shearfox Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Clean sheet, away win just what we need.
Captain... Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 NP's post match interview was just hilarious, like an episode of the Office in it's awkwardness, the original question was Interviewer: "In light of Matt Mills not being picked, how happy are you with the defensive performance and a clean sheet?" NP: "I will pick who I want, now **** off!" (more or less, he could have focussed on how good we were but he is so defensive in interviews he makes problems for himself.) Interesting comment about ego.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Really needed that win, would of been a travisty to not pick up 3 points over there after our win on the weekend.

FOX_TROT_07 Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Nugents work rate is excellent he pops up all over the place. Defence was solid Danns- best game in a Leicester shirt Lloyd dyer- what a machine
cc_star Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Neil Danns show in the first half as yet again Derby forgot to turn up for the 4th match in the row against us. Once Clough changed formation on 40mins they were the better side, but didn't cause us problems... We still had all the chances on goal & even hit the woodwork 4 times I think. Big Wes was immense in the 2nd Dyer also had a good game. Disappointed with Nuge & Becks tonight, they lacked the intensity that is needed to win games, Nuge was mostly missing & Becks was far to casual & played like he'd just bagged a hat-trick... Not on to be honest. Anyway, did what we had to even if it could have been a bit more style in the second it was still great stuff.
nuttytimmy Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 A good, professional win. Impressive first half, shaky but resilient in the second. Much more like it! Conclusions (plus Winners and Losers) return!

Intersting comment about ego. Your usual politically correct claptrap.. I'm personally over the moon that Pearson effectively told the interviewer to **** off.. It's OUR business, not his or anybody else's. You would rather he tried to make a feeble set of excuses? I love Niges bluntness... And that's how he appears to manage his players sometimes.
Guest shearfox Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 With Cov up next this is surely a great chance to get two league wins in a row, and that would put us in a nice position to mount a playoff challenge.
Tielemans63 Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Great win. I fooking hate Derby! ..and some said £1 mill was a lot for Big Wes. Superb.
ScouseFox Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Yeahhh. Good win. First half was lovely, second half was "professional". A win's a win. A derby win's a derby win. 4 in a row. Fkin sheepshaggers. Roll on next week. Keep 'em comin.

Intersting comment about ego. It was interesting. From nowhere. The delayed answer to the 'Has something happened?' question also gave the impression that summats 'appened...
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Great 1st half 65% possession. The grinders were out in the 2nd and we got the win ugly in the end. Great to see that we can do it. Off to bed a happy lad tonight :-)
LCFC FOX Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Good win now we need to be Coventry. Is Peltier injured?
