carlhltid Posted 25 February 2012 Author Posted 25 February 2012 Chelsea 3-0 Bolton Birmingham 1-2 Forest some people on here seem to want us to get knocked out in the quarter final it aint rocket science mate hope we get brum its our only chance of getting through in my oppinion
carlhltid Posted 25 February 2012 Author Posted 25 February 2012 I can (sort of) see what they mean. We'll raise our game for Chelsea, will we do it to the same level for Birmingham? If we did we'd have a far better chance against Birmingham. we wont beat chelsea at the bridge
ramadaone Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I really am baffled by those who would rather play Chelsea than Birmingham. Foxes Talk sometimes never ceases to amaze.. Agree 100% And all this bollox about the players would be more up for it if we played Chleski rather than Brum !! A chance to play at Wembley is at stake so if they can't get up for that regardless of the opposition then we really are in the shite
SystonFox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 we wont beat chelsea at the bridge So let's hold them to a draw, bring them back up here and do them at the KP infront of a full stadium! I don't believe we can beat Brum at st Andrews, if it was at the KP then yes maybe but as has been said the players and fans won't be as up for this match and we'll just lose 2-0 standard
Filbert_Ross Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 it aint rocket science mate hope we get brum its our only chance of getting through in my oppinion you dont have to tell me.

gerrytaggart Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Really weird reading some peoples thoughts on this....as much as I do understand the appeal of a glamour tie against Chelsea surely we stand a much better chance of beating Birmingham?!?! and as for whoever said we will get humiliated against Brum but we stand a chance of beating Chelsea?..what have you been smoking?? Personally I would fancy our chances of beating either side on the day, but see Brum as a much easier proposition.
Voll Blau Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Rail replacement buses between Coleshill Parkway and New Street on that day. Network Rail, you bunch of prats.
Maybes Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Rail replacement buses between Coleshill Parkway and New Street on that day. Network Rail, you bunch of prats. Absolute nobbers. Looks like it would be a saturday tear up in brum then travel back on the sunday, should they prevail against Chelsea.
Corky Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Rail replacement buses between Coleshill Parkway and New Street on that day. Network Rail, you bunch of prats. This line has had engineering works between Leicester and Peterborough for weeks now. Now they are doing one end of it. Why did they just run a bus service from now on?
FuriousFox46 Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Why does it matter who we all want? We have no say in who we play. All we can do is try and beat the team in front of us on March 18th.

jonlcfc1990 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I think both teams are beatable if we bring our A game both teams have pros and cons but personally i'd love to get revenge at the Bridge against Chelsea plus imagine the atmosphere there! Remember brum this season? Even in the Europa league it's like a sunday league atmosphere you can hear a pin drop or in Birminghams case you can hear one fat brummy shout "Shut up yow fookin gippows!" Bloody joke atmosphere
Filbert_Ross Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Think more trains will be added if we get Birmingham? Currently one leaves at 8:37am and takes 3h43m and gets u in at 12:30pm, and another leaves at 11:19am and gets u in at 12:40. not much boozing time in Birmingam.

Bloody joke atmosphere spot on, i went to Brummy in November i think it was, absolutely shocking general atmosphere in the ground, apart from our fans there was no vocal support from Brum what so ever. Really sh*tty day if i can remember rightly. People who are w*nking over wanting Brum in the cup obv didnt go earlier in the season, It will be JUST as hard to get a result there as Stamford Bridge, besides.... don't we play far better when we are underdogs?

The People's Hero Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Want Chelsea. Few reasons: Its nearer me, which is a bit immaterial for me as I doubt I can justify the price of the ticket. There is always a chance though I suppose. Chelsea away in the cup last time was an great 'day out' The inlaws are Chelsea fans. City always perform better vs the big sides, especially away from home in the cup. I doubt we'd raise our game for Brum, but Chelsea I think we'd be well up for.
Libertine Dream Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Does it matter? Whichever it is they're just the final stepping stone on the way to Wembley.
