Reading (A) Saturday

Yes, I'd probably not bother going except that I'm having another bid to get a respectable golf score round Stoke Park on the way down.

Golf's meant to be the antidote to a poor football experience but, the way I'm playing, I'm just as likely to be doubling the pain!

Who gives a shit!

Hope we lose just so we don't get anymore false hope!

Bring on getting beat by Chelsea so we can put this shite season to bed!

I'm with you on this one, reckon I'll find summat else to do saturday afternoon. Deffo wont be hanging around internet and Final Score to see whats happening.

Probably like most other foxes and Pearson's team, i really dont have a clue what we can do anymore. Reading are a great team, and we may well win.

If we win this ill eat my own shit. We will all start believing play-offs are a possibility once again so sort of hope we lose (sounds bad I know).

lol Is it weird that I sort of feel the same?

I do hope we win really, I can't stand tinpot clubs like Reading being good. But I won't be pulling any punches on people who still think we've got a chance if we do win.

We'll lose 2-1 though.

We are gonna get a golden shower at Reading on Saturday.

They are superior to us in every department.

If we're lucky it wont be embarrasing. Anyone saying, 'it'll be just like Leicester to lose at Bristol but then beat Reading' might want to take their heads out of their arses.

3-0 Reading. We wont have a shot on goal.

That bold bloke that manages Reading, McDermott, is a vile cnut

Are you serious? One of the nicest men in football...

He's not that bold either

Expect to get a lot of possession and think you're playing ok and then find that we don't let you do anything with it and then we'll go up the end at some point and take a goal and three points.

Kebe is out so don't expect anything pretty from us but I'm surprised when we concede a goal these days, let alone lose. We're not the best team in the division by a long way but off the ball we're one of the best teams I've ever seen and it gets us the points.

It's true that in the Championship anyone can beat anyone, and nothing is achieved without suffering, but take a look at Reading's recent form: http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html and farther back it's also impressive - 14 wins in 17 matches ... on top, since the Russian takeover was announced the club has had a 100% point record, and are expected now to go on and do better things.

So my forecast is Reading 3 Leicester 2...

Looking at Reading's form: 7 wins on the trot - I said this would be a draw or a loss in the realist thread, but that's exactly the kind of run of form that we're so good at breaking. Still don't think we'll break it with a win. Score draw: 2-2.

First goal is everything against us. Only conceded one goal in the 20 or so games that we've scored first in and that was against Southampton in our last draw way back in October.

I do not understand what this means, particularly seeing as we lost yesterday after scoring first.

According to a Portsmouth friend of mine who went the Reading game last night said that Reading were nothing special and Portsmouth were unlucky not to get a draw.

I think we could beat Reading, they are doing good at the minute and we always do good against teams up there.

Prediction for saturday for me will be 1-1 though, Nugent getting our goal and Roberts getting theirs.

I think he means that Reading have never lost a match this season after going in front ... the only Championship team still left with that record

Ok, he's a Reading fan! My bad.

Well the next three league games will finally determine if there's anything left in this league season for us, so the end may be nigh. Reading away, Birmingham home, Blackpool away. Three teams pretty likely to occupy the play off spots at the end of the season. Three teams for us to compare ourselves with. Is our team nearly good enough, or is it missing something. If we still think we can make the playoffs, now is the time to prove it. We probably need to win all three.

I know it's very unlikely, but a little piece of me can't stop hoping

Your Portsmouth friend probably forgot to mention they failed to get a single shot on target last night so for them to earn a draw they had to shut us out, we only managed 2 shots on target but scored one which was well worked, Roberts used his strength to get past their wing back and cross it for a Hunt headed goal, they never looked like scoring and despite our performance not being great we were the only team to deserve anything from the game.

Our game on Saturday could well go that same way, our performance most likely won't be something you expect of a team in third but we're grinding out results and keeping it tight at the back, we've had great games this season but don't be surprised if you lose by a single goal and come out saying "they're nothing special, a draw would have been a fair result" as our solid defence really does seem to get ignored by all who play us.

Kasper

Peltier

Morgan

SSL

Kennedy

Wellens

Bamba

Danns

Nugent

Beckford

Dyer

Subs: Marshall, Gallagher, Schlupp, Drinkwater, Pantsil

I know we've been there and done that with 4-3-3 but I think its the way to go for this game, definately think we need someone to protect the back four and win the ball, would like to see what Bamba will be like there. Another option would be putting Peltier in there as he has played there before, with SSL going right back.

Can see Drinkwater coming in for Marshall as only change though.

Worried about our next 3 games, not because of the playoffs but because we could easily lose all three and find ourselves in bottom half.

Er, no he's not, he's a miserable, whiny little bitch who doesn't know how offsides or transfer windows work.

Went to see Reading v Hull a few weeks ago and really didn't think either team was very good. Then again, I though we Played much better last year but our defense let us down and we lost 3-1 so there you go.

We are nothing if not unpredictable. I didn't think for a second we would go to St.Marys and grab all three points and equally that we would drop the points we have in so called 'bankers'.

Everything points to a Reading win, therefore, we will win.

Possibly.
