The question is has Pearson improved us as a team or made us worse? When Sven left we were just of the play offs and not to far off the top 2. Do I want us to sack another manager? NO, but ask yourself, do you think he is the man to take us up? I personally think not

I think we'd be higher in the table had we kept Sven in charge. Pearson is a good manager but the switch has ruffled a few feathers and this season has been fecking awful.

I hope the players can start afresh now we dont have the "pressure" of chasing a play-off dream.

If you want Pearson out of the club.....you're a stupid c**t and need your head checking! The guys inherited a squad that is unbalanced, full of egos, full of individuals and he needs time to sort it out. How many managers have we had in the past 6 years? The only 1 that has been successful is Nigel and now your talking about getting rid of him...again after last time.....****ING C**TS MATE!

Name the ego's IN the squad? Matt mills is training at 24hr gym in the Highcross, and I couldn't put my finger on anyone else who seems egotistical. You will end up with egg on your face with such a staunch defence of Nigel Pearson's mediocre record since coming back. Have you ever considered the effect that Pearson's places for the boys (Gallagher and Wellens) has on team morale of the wider squad. Selection should be based on performance, or the new lads just think he's showing favouritism in the face of better judgement. Fans have not seen much progress with Pearson, that's all.

Listen to McDermott's analysis. http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/17243538

Leicester reverted to long ball tactics that we have seen so much since pearson's return. Kasper kicking up to Howard at every opportunity. Morgan belting it back to their keeper. If you're a talented football player, you don't want to play this way. it becomes frustrating.

if you were a talented writer and journalist, you would find it frustrating being restricted to writing for the moronic sun newspaper.

Just think about what motivates all of us at work. Trust and faith in the boss, and being inspired by their vision. Players are not innately self righteous egotisitcal 'individuals' that refuse to play for the team. There are like you and I! Human being who are affected by their environment. Maybe I'm the only one on this forum who would't be motivated by a boss with poor communication skills, outdated strategies from the 70's, and an intimidating threatening management style. How many of you would love a boss like Pearson as your line manager?

It might work with the young, inexperienced and impressionable lads, but to gain the respect of our experienced players they need to see a little more.

You obviously want Pearson out don't you and your DiCanio post was actually partially serious I guess...?

The player cared about Martin O'Neill. They bought into his vision and his dream. They were motivated by Martin O'Neill, not an inate love for Leicester. Muzzy and Savage left for money as soon as O'Neill had gone. Much as I would love to believe the badge made them play, it was Martin O'Neil. They love the club because of the success they have enjoyed here... all down to martin O'Neill.

Answer me this, do you think tour current players would perform under Martin O'Neill? (how many players has he bought at Sunderland???)

It's too easy just to say the players are just innately evil money grabbing journeymen and all need changing. Tweaking yes, but we have the basis of a very strong side.

Sacking NP is not the answer. That said, he's not covering himself with glory atm.

This sums it up very neatly.

We are progressing very slowly and NP has had an amount of time to get it looking right.

Nearly four months in charge and we aren't going anywhere. I do see the difficulties with the squad but some of the football and performances have been well below acceptable.

It would be interesting to know what position we would be in the table if we just looked at the points since Pearson took over, I reckon we would be just above the bottom 3. I coul be wrong, but if that is the case, I can't see why people are happy for Pearson to lead this club. I agree we need stability with a manager, but it has to be the correct man. Is Pearson that man? The jury is still out for me

Di Canio would be a joke, and bring the club down in flames overnight. I'm just bored of the talk of Pearson being a god, when his football is often long ball. I don't think sacking Pearson would bring any success for the same reasons as he is suffering from - he's struggling to inspire players who came to city to play for another manager. It's not working for him with these players, so maybe we all just have to wait for a few years for him to bring a young team through. I think the problem is the dramatically different vision sven and pearson have on how a football team should play. Its a huge clash. I personally don't think pearson will ever build a team worthy of automatic promotion, but we don't need that, we just need the play-offs. But I also know that no other manager around is likely to get us from this situation now to the Premier league any time soon.

I'm disappointed we didn't get a better manager than Pearson in the first place. BUT I ACCEPT HE SHOULD STAY NOW. he's not a god like genius, he has some major flaws... but he should stay, as it represents or best chance of progression

Unbalanced - what has NP done to correct this?

Ego's - They are footballers, they have ego's - what has NP done to deal with this?

Individuals - See above

Success - 3rd division success isnt much to brag about.

I agree that we have had too many Managers and i am disapointed by this fact, however the question remains, is NP the Manager who can take us to the Premiership?

i agree pal pearson had an open checkbook in january and who has he brought in ? we have some great players here and if he cant get us to win more games he has to go oretty soon

This is the sort of comparision made across the board, and it is irritating.

If Sven left us just off the playoffs and x number of points away after y number of games, it makes sense that after twice or so as many games, we're now twice or so as far away! lol

So we haven't improved or got worse. We're as we were!

The team is full of players with a losing mentality. No spirit or drive or a willingness to do anything about it. Just a bunch of losers - we won't go anywhere until NP has a chance to sort the squad out. He needs the summer and preparation to do this.

Speak English please?

Also, why would he bring in more players to 'balance the squad'. Balancing the squad isn't something you can do halfway through a season, that's a summer job. Bringing in even more players will just make it even harder for the squad. Leicester need to play as a team and partnerships need to be formed, he needs to work with the current squad and sort them out before making additions. What he did in the January transfer market and the loan market was spot on. Although fonz didn't make much of an impact he gave Beckford a run for his money and Beckford did up his game.

Lets actually hope he does it, because I will be fuming mad if Wellens and co are still on the books.

NP wasn't just successful in league 1 in his last spell. He was the manager that has got us closest to the prem in a long long time!

closest to the premier league so you think thats good enough i dont want closest to the premier league i want premier league simple

And because he didn't work miracles in the January window, he isn't the man to sort it out?

Over reaction doesn't even begin to describe that sentence. I agree it sucks when we lose but you can't just selectively forget our victories and assume that losing one match means we'll lose them all. We'll be fine this season, we won't make the playoffs but we'll be just about in the top half of the table and then Pearson's got the summer to try and figure out what went wrong. Oh and we're in the quarters of the FA cup.

losing 1 match lol we lost alot more than 1 match pal

I don't think you understood the point of that post, considering you're still choosing to ignore the fact that we've had good results too. If you expected Pearson to show up and kick us into the prem you're a very delusional man.

Unbalanced - adding more players to a squad which is struggling to play together won't solve the problem, you can't hide the problem by bringing more players in, Nige is getting to the route of the problem and it will take some time to undo the damage Sven made.

Ego's well look at the SSL situation, SSL seems in my opinion one of the players that works hard throughout the whole game. Also when Fonz was brought in Beckford improved massively, giving him the competition seemed to make him concentrate. So the Matt Mills situation isn't sorted yet, but what Nige has done is send a warning to the rest of the players, let them know who is in charge!

3rd division success isn't but playoffs is. I've only been a Leicester fan for 6 years and I can tell you that that is our greatest achievement in those six years. So to everyone MON is the God. But to me it's Pearson, I wasn't a fan when MON was in charge, but until Pearson came in we were struggling in the championship year after year and then we got relegated. He brought hope back into Leicester.

Well we can find out if he's the man or not in time. People complain that we have had too many managers in recent years, yet when something doesn't go right we call for a sacking. That isn't how football should work. Nige needs to be given a chance.

If he stayed on another season we'd be there now! You can't expect instant success! He would have done it!

Got to stick with Pearson, consistency is needed, its the players not the manager who is to blame, excellent 1 week rubbish the next, how can we beat Southampton twice but lose to Bristol City twice? Too many inconsistent underperforming players who seem to turn it on when they feel like it.
