Don't get me wrong, his returns been on the whole a disappointment, but the fact is he had a huge job, and I still think you've got to put a lot of it down to Sven. No, I'm not going to blame Sven for certain things, such as red cards or whatever, but just the fact he's left a squad that are on far better money than they should be, giving them false belief and even arrogance about themselves, he's left an unbalanced, indisciplined squad. Pearson is the man to sort it IMO, he's not going to be pushed around by anyone, maybe he doesn't play the prettiest football but when he's got his own squad again, I'm sure we'll return to winning ways and have a squad of players on lower money, producing better football, and have brighter futures, genuinely giving a toss about the club.

Completely agree what Sven signed was a group of players who are effectively journeymen who have played at many different clubs and see the game mainly as a job, if you look at when we had lots of success under MON it was because we built a group of players where it was a Leicester culture and Leicester became their team, the likes of Muzzy, Savage, Elliott, Walsh etc etc they all cared about the club and that was evident in the never say die spirit. What we need to do is reproduce this ethos with young players such as Marshall, Drinkwater, Schlupp, Peltier, Hopper etc. We need to build round the youth and Pearson is the man to do it, just look at the young team that he created at Hull and how they are flying now. I bet he regrets coming back you know with the majority of retarded fans we seem to have.

Who are these journeymen? If you're referring to Nugent and Konchesky, well, they've been 2 of our best players. As for the others.....Mills? No. Bamba? No. Peltier? No. St Ledger? No. Schmeichel? No. Danns? No. Beckford? No. Vassell and Painsil are certainly older but by no means journeymen. And this 'egos' business. Well, Mills and Beckford are the only ones who come across as having egos or being 'individuals'. There are several underlying problems we have, namely squad balance, gelling and teamwork IMO but people seem to love chucking around buzzwords such as 'egos' when I just don't believe that's true for 95% of the squad. Alright we have players on high wages and this may be another reason why Beckford and Mills need to be moved on but players like Schmeichel and Konchesky are on high wages too and they're 2 of the most hard working players I've seen. It's not the money that dictates a players' attitude, it's the player themselves.

NP wasn't just successful in league 1 in his last spell. He was the manager that has got us closest to the prem in a long long time!

Over reaction doesn't even begin to describe that sentence. I agree it sucks when we lose but you can't just selectively forget our victories and assume that losing one match means we'll lose them all. We'll be fine this season, we won't make the playoffs but we'll be just about in the top half of the table and then Pearson's got the summer to try and figure out what went wrong. Oh and we're in the quarters of the FA cup.

You've forgotten the games against Norwich and Derby which fell between the Watford & Bristol fixtures. Is there an incontinence problem amongst Chelsea fans or are you suggesting the game will be easy for them?

If there was a guaranteed manager to get out of the championship he would soon become a muti millionaire through people buying his services, there is no guarantees in football and never has been. So for those calling for Pearson's head exactly who do you have in mind to replace him ? I suppose you will all come out with the usual suspects but as i said NO guarantees with anyone else either. Lets get behind Pearson next season when he has got his own squad again and then and only then we can we judge him.

1964FOX Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 I am very disappointed with our inconsistency but sacking the manager so soon is not the answer. It would just e stupid to change now the players would have to re adjust yet again. This season in the league is over but we may as well stay with Nigel and give him a chance to show some progress before the end of the season, then a decision to keep or change needs to be made. We just have to hope a Miracle happens and we beat Chelsea next week.
Happy Fox Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 I didn't expect wonders from NP but the minimum target was for him to get us into the playoffs I could be wrong?, the task is massive and I am afraid and it needs someone to rip out the deadwood (Wellens, Oakley, Gallagher, Dyer, Howard, Mills, Beckford, Pantsil, Johnson etc) does NP have the balls to do this in the summer it remains to be seen.

He's not bald Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Well the ground name's changed,the owners have changed,the players have changed,the manager,the coaching staff,the pitch,the scoreboard, the season tickets,the ticket office, the kit and even the club shop has changed, only one things stayed the same....us! Maybe it's time to change the supporters? (well at least the attitudes)
