NeilyBoy Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 With all this talk of Chelsea and quarter finals you'd be forgiven for forgetting that we've got a match against Birmingham coming up on Tuesday. I just hope the players don't have their eyes too firmly fixed on Sunday because this is a match where they really need to put in a shift if we're to get anything out of it. I wonder if instead of sticking DD on the wing, which clearly doesn't work, we could play Paintsil or Peltier in that role? I don't see why it would be any worse than putting a CM out there and would certainly give us a bit more solidity on the right hand side. Here's my proposed lineup: Kasper Peltier - Bamba - SSL - Kennedy Paintsil - DD - Danns - Dyer Beckford - Nugent Wellens, Schlupp, Moore, Howard, Morgan
Bert Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Kasper Pelts Dyer - both wing backs Bamba Morgan SSL Drinkwater Wellens Danns Beckford Nugent Would like to see that.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Drop Jermaine for any of the other strikers at the club. In fact, Fook it, bring in Jermaine Greer if we need to. I want to see players playing for their fookin shirts. Starting this week....
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Kasper SSL Morgan Bamba Kennedy (dont know why he was subbed off as he was better than Peltier) Marsahall DD Danns Dyer Nugent Schlupp
NeilyBoy Posted 11 March 2012 Author Posted 11 March 2012 I forgot about Marshall! This means I can remove Howard altogether. New line-up: Kasper Paintsil - Bamba - SSL - Kennedy Marshall - DD - Danns - Dyer Beckford - Nugent Peltier, Morgan, Wellens, Schlupp, Moore
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Kasper Peltier - Morgan - Bamba - St. Ledger Marshall - Danns - Wellens - Dyer Nugent - Howard Subs: Kennedy, Gallagher, Drinkwater, Schlupp, Beckford Can see us winning this game, 2-1
darko2k7 Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 I forgot about Marshall! This means I can remove Howard altogether. New line-up: Kasper Paintsil - Bamba - SSL - Kennedy Marshall - DD - Danns - Dyer Beckford - Nugent Peltier, Morgan, Wellens, Schlupp, Moore This . Although I think Moore is injured so swap him with Hopper for me
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 This has gotta be the start of the 'new generation' IMO. We don't really have anything to lose cos we won't make the play offs. Let's start rebuilding... I'd like to see Wellens dropped (wow, what's CCF saying?) for Drinkwater, Schlupp in for Beckford and for Marshall to play. Let's start having a good look at what we've got now. I don't care if we lose.. So what? I'd like to see the rebuild commence
cc_star Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Moore is out for the season, Pantsil thanks to a sub-par performance & not really featuring since, so is an unknown quantity for us although Sven & NP have seen him on the training ground & not fancied him, but I'd have a look at him ahead of potentially our last meaningful game of the season away at Chelsea Kasper Pantsil Morgan SSL Kennedy Marshall Danns Drinkwater Dyer Schlupp Nugent Subs: Smith, Bamba, Wellens, Gally if fit, Hooper Quite like Bert's formation above though, I do like wingbacks, but I'd bring in schlupp
Steve Agnew Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Unfortunately I predict Nigel will be giving the boot to Beckford, and giving us our favourite target man back up top. Gally and Wellens to save the day. I can see it being: Kasper Peltier Morgan St Ledger Kennedy Gallagher Danns Wellens Dyer Nugent Howard Subs Schlupp Beckford, Bamba, Drinkwater Marshall
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Marlon will probably bag and we'll go down 2-1 or something
acooling08 Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Don't want us to win! Will only increase the faint hopes that will (of course) be crushed soon after.
Cropwellfox Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 The team I would select is as follows Kasper, SSL, Morgan, bamba, Kennedy, Marshall, drinkwater, danns, schlupp, nugent, hopper subs peltier, dyer, byrne, Taft, beckford The team nige will select will be closer to: Kasper, peltier, Morgan, bamba, SSL, Gallagher, wellens, danns, dyer, Howard, nugent subs drinkwater, schlupp, beckford, Marshall, Tunchev

Happy Fox Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2632424,00.html City return to action at King Power Stadium on Tuesday 13 March for the visit of Birmingham City - a game that could prove crucial in the Foxes' pursuit of a play-off place. Eight points behind the sixth-placed Blues following Saturday's defeat at Reading, every point counts for Nigel Pearson's men as they look to piece together the run of form that will propel them into promotion contention.

It is extremly unlikely it will happen but it can still happen and be achieved. Can hardly expect them to call it a meaningless game and then not attract any extra fans.
