Guest ttfn Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 If he scores he hasn't worked hard enough elsewhere. If he works hard, gets an assist and puts in a right shift, he hasn't scored. Oh to be a striker. I think you know you're over-simplifying it. The game hasn't finished yet, but so far Schlupp has worked hard AND scored a goal. That's what people are looking for ideally. If they don't score, hard work should be an absolute minimum requirement. I think getting goals exempts a striker from criticism to a certain extent. As well it should. If that's their role in the team and they're fulfilling it, why complain? But if they're not getting goals, and are maybe out of form, a little effort goes a long way. For starters it helps others get goals for the team.
