FoxyPV Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 We've got the talent to be much further up the league than we are but we just aren't playing well enough, often enough.
cc_star Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 I think you know you're over-simplifying it. The game hasn't finished yet, but so far Schlupp has worked hard AND scored a goal. That's what people are looking for ideally. If they don't score, hard work should be an absolute minimum requirement. I think getting goals exempts a striker from criticism to a certain extent. As well it should. If that's their role in the team and they're fulfilling it, why complain? But if they're not getting goals, and are maybe out of form, a little effort goes a long way. For starters it helps others get goals for the team. exactly If you're not scoring you need to be making the runs to be open for the pass (else people moan about the midfield not making the pass) making the runs creates the space for others If you're not scoring or making the runs you need to be chasing the ball & hurrying defenders If you're doing none of it you can GTFO
The People's Hero Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 5 minutes??? Haha. This has been a really poorly officiated game.
FoxyPV Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Wellens has had a poor half, Why not bring Drinkwater on? NP and his favourites
HoustonFox Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Why didn't Beckford take it on? I think he's looked dangerous tonight though. Not effective but a handful and caused their back 4 trouble.

I was merely jesting, because if you read through the Beckford thread, you'll find those who are "giving him a chance" say that he lacks goals but he's putting in effort recently. And, not naming names, but certain posters just keep saying "but there's not been any goals and he's a striker!!!!" Then bam, he scored tonight and he's not good enough still. Just amuses me, somewhat.
Guest Bilo Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Schlupp scored last time I went for a shower. Meh, never can be too clean.
21st Century Fox Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 This might be enough to sow some seeds of doubt into the Chelski lot, knowing how hard they had to play to beat Brum to get a shot at us.

Bryn Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Yes, **** off Birmingham, shite club. Good win, we played really well.
