ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Which team would you prefer? The first Pearson team or this one? Or maybe a mixture of both? For me, I'd have a mixture of both, have players wanting to play for the club, and not just the money.
KidKunny Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 This one, IMO player for player we do have a better squad however I don't know whats missing to make us consistent, maybe the wages plays a big part I don't know, but I would definitely stick with this team Up the foxes!!

FrankieADZ Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 personally I like a mixture of the 2...with the majority would probably be this season team.
daleyboy21895 Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 schmeichel, peltier, bamba, st ledger, konchesky, marshall, wellens, king, dyer, nugent, fryatt old: 1 new: 10 both: 2 soooo....yeah. this one.
BrumFox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 they are basically the same team anyway, the only notable ones missing are fryatt, hobbs, morrison, berner and waggy. would you really have them back in the squad? schmeichel, peltier, bamba, st ledger, konchesky, marshall, wellens, king, dyer, nugent, fryatt old: 1 new: 10 both: 2 soooo....yeah. this one. fryatt? really?!?! over Beckford? wow.
Cropwellfox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Not counting loans or taking into account fall outs: Schmeichel Peltier Hobbs Morgan Konchesky Marshall Danns King Gradel Nugent Campbell
KidKunny Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Thats just ridiculous Fryatt over Beckford... You are definitely deluded if you think Fryatt is better than Beckford.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Clearly the current team has better players, they're just not playing as well, or as unitedly. A run of 3-4 wins without changing the squad too much would do them a world of good.
acooling08 Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Only player I'd prefer from Pearson's first spell would be Berner (He used to be awesome). Wow it really goes to show how badly we have underperformed this year
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Thats just ridiculous Fryatt over Beckford... You are definitely deluded if you think Fryatt is better than Beckford. This.
Chazwaz Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Beckford is without a doubt a better player but Fryatt was indeed also a great player under Pearson for us.

Mack Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Kerrea Gilbert was superb. Lord knows how he has ended up at Shamrock Rovers.
5waller5 Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Kerrea Gilbert was superb. Lord knows how he has ended up at Shamrock Rovers. Did he!!!?? Good grief!!! Yeah he was a good player for us ... you wonder what went wrong there!!
Fox92 Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Tough. There is probably more quality this season, but I still like players like Hobbs and Morrison that were solid in League 1 and then the Championship. Regarding Gilbert, I didn't think he was that good. Ok when he was on loan here, at League 1 level.

For me, I'd have a mixture of both, have players wanting to play for the club, and not just the money. Grow up - no player ever plays for the club, they all take the money and would leave Leicester in a flash if a bigger club or more money came along - and that is ALL players
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Thats just ridiculous Fryatt over Beckford... You are definitely deluded if you think Fryatt is better than Beckford. I don't think it's as clear cut, or indeed as 'ridiculous' as that. I'm a massive fan of Beckford and was never a Fryatt bum-boy, but there's little to suggest a huge gulf between the two. I'd even go as far as to say that technically, Fryatt is the better player. Some of his finishes in League One (and the Championship before getting brained by Brian Stock) were absolutely first rate. I'd prefer Beckford but can completely understand why Fryatt would be some people's preference up top.

Not sure I would've backed Beckford to score from the position Fryatt got the ball in.
acooling08 Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Tom Cleverley, Mark Davies? They were loanees so don't count
LCFC BEAST Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 They were loanees so don't count Fair enough, they would have walked in to any of the teams otherwise!
