Weller in Tights Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 didnt realise x and c are so close on the keyboard!!! Wine is a destroyer of typing skills
blueharmie Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Get rid Of the useless ****er. Np will do the right thing. That says fuker above by the way.
foxes2011 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 he has started scoring but my mind was made up months ago, he is to expensive for how good he is, get rid and get a cheaper replacement keogh from millwall!!
Walker Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Any player who disrespects the club like Beckford did today should be kicked out as far as i'm concerned. 'I'll never score against Leeds', what?!?!?!
Bugg Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 he has started scoring but my mind was made up months ago, he is to expensive for how good he is, get rid and get a cheaper replacement keogh from millwall!! hahahahahaha! please tell me you're joking.
Guest ttfn Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 hahahahahaha! please tell me you're joking. Wouldn't be my choice but he's scored more goals in less than half the games that Beckford has. In a relegation threatened team.
Guest ttfn Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Some of our fans need a reality check Beckford is a good striker to have at this level. Beckford & Nugent will be quality next season should they both remain here. Mark my words. What are you basing this on? I'm still yet to see anything resembling a fact which would support either of these points.
buzzy Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 possibly the best front 2 in beckford and nugent since heskey and cottee but some of you want to break it up. if you think waghorn is the answer then you are deluded into thinking we cajn get promoted. keep beckford
Karljohn Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I think NP will look to offload in the summer, I imagine he will be unhappy with the amount of time he has had to devote to getting him to just look interested, his league goal return is poor, he poses little physical threat and has poor control of the ball, not a team player. Get rid and bring someone in who wants to give us 90 minutes just not drift in and out of the game.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 hahahahahaha! please tell me you're joking. Already scored more goals in a struggling team than Beckford has all season in the league. Get your blinkers off Bugg. Beckfords league goal tally is one of the worst, per game, of any strikers in the division. And this was the man who was meant to fire us to the promised land! I stated months ago he would not be the answer this season and I been proven right... Again!!! Yawn...

I stated months ago he would not be the answer this season and I been proven right... Again!!! Yawn... There's no need to be so condescending, Andy Keogh has done absolutely fvck all in his career apart from assist Billy Sharp at Scunthorpe and as soon as he hits form he's better? I highly doubt that he is has one of the worst strike rates as 1 goal in 3 is hardly poor, you're just letting your agenda get in the way of that. No doubt you'll shout down my opinion as "utter crap" or something equally inflammatory as you do to anyone who differs in opinion. Take your head out of your arse and maybe you'd be able to get into a discussion with out everyone thinking you're a cvnt.
Rich Fox Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I don't think you can play Nugent and Beckford together. They both make similar runs and are not a good partnership. We need someone hold the ball up, Cant believe sven did not see this.
Fox92 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 We still need a mobile target man, for the way we play. And Keogh is not the answer! Beckford scored a lot of goals for Leeds whilst playing alongside a target man in Becchio. If we don't get a target man, then we will constantly see what we saw this season, when Kasper launches the ball and we give it away, because Nugent and Beckford are not target men and cannot hold the ball up. I still refer back to Monday night against West Ham. Carlton Cole impressed me so much. He held the ball up so well for the Hammers, got his body in and chased the ball. We need a target man, and Nigel probably knows this, hence why we have been linked with Harry Kane.
Sly Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 You have various type of strikers. Beckford falls under the poacher type. You give him the right balls, he's be in the right place to score. Beckford isn't the sort of player that will run around for 90 minutes, Nugent is. Just becuase he doesn't fell the need to run around and put himself out of position doesn't mean he cares less.

Get your head out of your arse and chill a little.... Christ Almighty people sometimes take the forum too seriously!

If it wasn't for beckford we'd be worse off this season than we are. Fact number 1. You've never liked Beckford and the way you write your posts about him is very conniving. Fact number 2. It's people like you that drive the talented players away. Moan at the slightest little things. Beckford has finished the season much better than Nugent, so why don't you berate him? Or is your head still stuck up your own arse?
LCFC FOX Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I like Beckford and hope he stays. Next season if he does I think he could be our best player with a couple of extra editions who can perhaps give him good supply.
Babylon Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I like how you say league goals. He's not far behind Nugent on total goals this season. If it wasn't for beckford we'd be worse off this season than we are. Fact number 1. Well that's presuming the person who replaced him only managed a handful of goals.

Or is your head still stuck up your own arse? Fact number 1... You support Beckford zealously and conveniently seem to overlook his weaknesses. You've always done this as far as I've read. Fact number 2... I publically commend and favour certain players. Drinkwater and Marshall being the two main ones. And I have stated I think Morgan has been a good signing for the club. I've never rated Beckford, with the exception of one or two good performances. Neither do many others as far as i can see.. TTFN, CC Star et al... Get over it... Just because you rate Mr Beckford it don't mean I have to. Like Sven, I was willing to give Jermaine the benefit of my doubt. But, like Sven, enough is enough. Pearson will improve us of that I have little doubt and will try to sell Beckford too. IMO, which is what it's all about. Or am I not in 'Berts gang' lol

Guest ttfn Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Well that's presuming the person who replaced him only managed a handful of goals. Or presuming we were playing with 10 men. Either way it's not a "fact"
Raw Dykes Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Or presuming we were playing with 10 men. Either way it's not a "fact" I agree. When people say, "if it wasn't for (player x), we'd be worse off", I'm not sure if even they know what they mean. Do they mean if Beckford hadn't played in the matches he did, and we were left with ten men, or do they mean we'd be worse off if we'd never signed him and someone else had played in his place? If it's the former, then they're probably right, but it's not saying anything interesting, because the same is true of every single first team player in the world. If it's the latter, then we would have signed someone else instead, who may have done a lot better or a lot worse, or anywhere in between. There's just no way of knowing. The phrase, "If it wasn't for (player x), we'd be worse off" is either stating the bleeding obvious about any first team player you can think of, or baseless conjecture.
