Beckford yes or no

If he was on 15k I'd say keep him - however, if he is on 30-40k then I think we should move him on as that's unsustainable for a Championship club IMHO. The problem will be finding a Prem club that will take him as I can't see a Champ club matching his current wage.

Do people moaning about him watch the whole game or just where the ball goes????? Yes he is not good in the air, but against west ha, I counted about 5 occasions where Wellens could have played him in to pretty much one on one, yet he chooses to lay it out to the wing where it's so congested because EVERY team knows our gameplan (or lack of). I thought FFP was a 3 yr plan so if I understand correctly (which i poss don't as not really read up on it) we don't need to ship every mega earner on. IF we achieve our goal of promotion next yr we will WANT beckford here as he CAN play in the PL. like I've said countless times if we get a decent midfield and he is still dog shit then yes, look to move him on, but I've seem enought in the last half of the season in the runs he has made to convince me he can play a massive part next yr.

I watch the whole game, but thanks for the patronisation.

Sorry I thought this was a forum where I could express an opinion. All I'm saying is people saying he does nothing are wrong IMO. so apologise for any offence caused. If u have an alternative opinion then why not share it instead of having a pop at mine??

My dads mate is chairman of wealdstone, the club that becks was at before Leeds, and he says he's on at least 40k p/week. I think he's a good player but with FFP coming in he'll surely leave in the summer?

I've been told by someone that knows his dad he is on double what ever he was earning at Everton.. If only we knew what that was. :glare:

Watched the second half in the LUTV studio according to Waccoe, and said he would like to return...

Leeds cannot afford him and if they do want him it will have to be on our terms Snodgrass or GTFO.

Now the season has ended, GET RID! Sorry, but he's had a few decent games, and been crap inbetween. Next season we need a team, thats 11 players playing for each other. Not some egotistical wannabe superstar. Hopefully Waggy will be back to what we all know he can be, and Jermaine can clear off to Bolton/QPR/Wolves - ok, I was joking about Wolves - and fire them straight back to the promised land. Soz Jermaine, you remind me of Alan Clarke - brilliant, but not for Leicester.

No.

If we stand any chance of progress, we need a more consistent source of goals. That's not to say I think Beckford is an 'awful' or 'rubbish' player, as some people on here claim to think. He's just not proved himself to be capable of doing the job we need a striker to do next season. And, for the record, I don't think superficial observations from us as fans as to his 'attitude' or body language even need to come into the equation.

Today was the FOURTH time this season he's been replaced at the break.

Again, I'll challenge any poster to name any player who has been substituted at half time that many times in their whole City career.

People said they'd judge him at the end of the season. A season in which he's cost upwards of £25k a week and returned 9 league goals.

Be particularly keen to hear from Babylon on this, as he was certainly one who said he'd reserve judgement until now.

Today wasn't really performance based though, was it? Largely down to the fact Pearson wanted to give Vassell a run out.

And more or less every member of the squad is on highly inflated wages and has offered very little in return throughout this seaaon, not sure why it's only Beckford that gets singled out time and time again.

It's been mentioned before in this thread but we are lucky to have someone of Beckfords ability in our squad. A few seasons ago we would of loved someone like him with ourselfs. Some of our fans need a reality check Beckford is a good striker to have at this level. Beckford & Nugent will be quality next season should they both remain here. Mark my words.

Bexkford, Lots of ability

Just needs a midfield of a similar quality.

Sorry Wellens/Gallagher/Dyer fans, but they are not quality enough for a team to push for promotion.

That by the way, for all you in the 'tight knit foxes talk clique', is 'MY OPINION' !!!!!!
