thedog Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Time to get real fellow fans. Can this squad get promotion next season? In my humble opionion NO. Some players are simply not good enough they are only mid table championship players at best. GET RID OF, Peltier- poor positionally and inconsistent distribution, struggled against average players to many times at this level. Bamba- Makes to many daft mistakes at this level. Konchesky- To old,his foul play masks that he can't cope, and shocking distribution. Gallagher- Absolute lightweight, distribution and tackling poor, deadball delivery great to much of a luxury. King- Great finisher but brings absolutely nothing to the midfield area. Wellens- To old,to slow, does not offer any bite and very little in the way of assists. Dyer- Runs into to many blind alleys, awareness shocking, distribution poor for promotion push. Beckford- Bone idle,we need a different type of striker to him, A Grant Holt? I firmly believe if this majority are still here when the new season starts we will not get promotion i for one will be keeping an eye on who pearson gets rid of and who he brings in.
Brooksy Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Get rid of Konchesky, our most consistent performer this season?

Fox 4 Life Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I stopped reading when you said konch had shocking distribution - he is one of the only ones that is an actual threat with his passing out of defence
lovelcfc Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Get rid of konch?!?!?! Are you on crack mate? Just because he's had a bad game today, he's been our best player all season
dog_4 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 i personally don't rate peltier and konchesky is an ok player! I'd love clyne right back and bertrand left back! morgan and anthony gerrard centre
NottsFox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Get rid of Dyer, are you insane? In my opinion our most explosive and creative player at times. Also, don't get rid of Peliter, Bamba, Gallagher (most will disagree but I still think he has great skill) King, or Beckford. Stupid post.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Konchesky is the best left back in this league bar none! I don't think it's essential that any of the others go either. All good enough to be squad players for a championship winning team. We just need 1 or 2 more quality signings - Naughton and another striker plus maybe someone with more of a physical presence in the middle
wellyfox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 More to the point WHO CAN AFFORD THEM poor season and high wages say they will all be stopping.
LCFCCHRIS Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I understand bamba is a bit dangerous sometimes but he is still a good player, 80% of our fans don't rate him but I think he is decent. Koncheskey is one of our only decent performers Dyer is a good sub

I'd love clyne right back and bertrand left back! morgan and anthony gerrard centre So would I and I'd want Kate Beckinsale in a threesome with the missus - or would I swap the missus for Rachel Weisz ?? - anyway, like my fantasies, these two signings aren't going to happen !!

NottsFox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 At times? When are these times? Once every 5 games maybe. At Derby, when he made their right-back look like a t**t and wip it in for dannzy to finish it. I agree that these are rare however when he comes on it surely can't be just me that is up-lifted because you never know with him. Worth keeping imo.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Peltier No Bamba- Yes Gallagher-Yes King- No Wellens- No Dyer- No Beckford- No But it is not our decision and whoever goes and comes in I have full confidence in them If i am honest is it that much of a big loss not to get in play offs? Look back on our poor performances, when we went chelsea and got destroyed by them, that game against Chelsea will happen week in week out, we are too weak to play in the premiership, lets have a season to build a strong and consistent team.

I didnt expect Peltier to play a full season, thought that Pantsil would come in and give a bit more competition for that spot, Wellens, Gallagher and Beckford are a total waste of pitchroom, I think you have to keep Konch and Dyer, the latter being completely unable to think for himself but can provide that burst of pace and impact. Its unfair to judge King, he's not had enough game time in 2012, but along with Wellens, Gallagher and Beckford, Howard, Bamba and Mills can pack their bags, Bamba is absolutely fooking useless and 250k was about right. We have promise in the shape of Marshall and Schlupp, Nugent will give his all but needs to play off a striker who will work his balls off, personally would love to see waggy back and firing on all cylinders, and think Vass despite his lack of goals has been a big miss. Decent first post.

Leicesterpool Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Peliter- yes £4million price tag Bamba- no (unless Pearson puts him in defense, he's best in midfield) Gallagher-Yes (he can f+ck off) King- Yes (Overrated) Wellens- Yes and No (if a good offer game in) Dyer- No Beckford- Yes (too lazy, James Vardy ladies and gentleman) Kasper- Possible (if a good offer came in) Waghorn- Yes (overrated)
Guest Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Hang on us the dream over or is the party over? Or was I asleep at a party or dreaming of a party in which case both could feasibly be true

So you want to get rid of at least 8 players? So we replace them with at least 8 more, then for the first 10 or so matches next season when they don't gell, we moan that we are not playing like a team. De ja vu?

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Perhaps we should now be looking at the quality of those likely to be relegated. Only Bolton look the safest in the bottom five, and seem likely to stay up, so it looks like three of four, with Wolves almost certainly gone.
