Rand94 Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 i really enjoyed birmingham at home, esp when they were singing its just like watching brazil and then we beat them. despite the result i actually enjoyed blackpool away too
HEGGSY Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 no one with half a brain is confused are you confused then ? , I was talking about the people who put "LCFC vs Leeds 2009" and "LCFC v Spurs 06" when you clearly stated in the question/title "What is the best game THIS YEAR" Trust me I've got half a brain pal. (I think )

carlhltid Posted 16 April 2012 Author Posted 16 April 2012 No I wasn't taking the piss mate. no worries
mbmb10 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Norwich: great atmosphere and best match all the players worked their socks off. And crystal palace just because of Gallaghers 2 goals.
ozleicester Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Cov away. First game of the season, so many dreams and hopes, cracking crowd and it pretty much ended up a metaphor for the season as a whole
Kitchandro Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I suppose Southampton at home would have been one of the best for the neutrals. I don't think we were particularly good on the day though. The quality of football has largely been poor so not many great football matches as such, Derby and Forest at home (the 4-0s) were fantastic games for us but one sided, not thrillers. I'm going to go for Hull at home though, in terms of all round entertainment and two sides going at each other it was easily the best match of the season.
Kitchandro Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Middlesbrough at home (2-2) was also a very good game. The ref tried to ruin it but his shenanigans actually made it more entertaining. The Chelsea game was good second half. 2-2 at Forest was again probably good for neutrals. I assume Blackpool away was entertaining but I wasn't there.
jonthefox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Barnsley away. Shit game, but just really enjoyed the day.
Thracian Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Southampton away. If we'd tackled every game of the season like that, closing down quickly and committing ourselves to attacking as a unit, we'd have won a play-offs place no problem.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Rotherham away- Seeing brigades of police vans going down the M1 to help London stop the riots, Going to Don Valley bringing back memories of seeing the Arctic monkeys and the Vaccines at a gig there in June, Great pre match music in the ground such as- The Clash The Jam stone roses as the sun was shining just about to set over the ground. Finally to go 1-0 down to see Jeff Schlupp come into his own and score an absolutely belting hat trick! Fantastic day fantastic score and a great little highlight of a dismal season.
foxesfan1989 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Palace at home is the best game I have been to this year. 2 of the best goals of have seen LCFC score live from Gally! (Worst was the 0-0 at home to Forest)
bmt Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 i really enjoyed the hull game the other week Me too. One of the best games I've been to in years
Bugg Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Blackpool away was an excellent game, although it was incredibly frustrating to concede in the last minute.
cc_star Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Watching on TV/computer count? If so Norwich away Only games I've seen in the flesh are Bristol City, Leeds & Peterborough... 2 defeats & a draw and all woeful games.
Leicester_Numan Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Don't think there's been that many good games this season, we've either been all over the opposition, really poor or the games have been ruined by the ref. But Southampton at home, West Ham away and our best defensive performance at Palace are what springs to my mind
Guest bss9401 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 For me it was Southampton away, first and foremost the win and performance. I enjoyed how the club treated the fans to food and scarves aswell even though we made our own way there..
MattyFromLE Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Atmosphere = Chelsea Entertainment = Crystal Palace (h)
accessory Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 The 4-0 wins over Forest and Derby. No matter how bad things have been at times, at least we put them in their place!
lcfc29 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 lcfc 2-0 coventry it had penalties,cards and goals!!
