RonnieTodger Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 WTF is he doing? He's come out and said that United should beat City in the coming derby. It looks to me like he's trying to play mind-games and he's just really shit at them and is probably offending other managers and his fans by calling United's remaining games "easy". The things he says are just making it look like he's trying too hard to use reverse psychology. If it comes off and they win the league, well done to him but I don't think this will have any positive bearing on it.

It's worked so far, as soon as he'd conceded the title and put all the pressure on United, City totally upped their game started to play without burden. He knows United are wobbling, he's just trying to push them over.
RonnieTodger Posted 23 April 2012 Author Posted 23 April 2012 But you can see through him. I don't think what he's saying has anything to do with the results because it's so obvious
Fox92 Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 I remember when Rafa Benitez tried to play mind games with Fergie, especially the game leading up to the Manchester United v Liverpool derby that did end (1-4 to Liverpool), although Manchester United ended up winning the league.

carlhltid Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 he dont wanna start them mind games with the master of mind games
RonnieTodger Posted 23 April 2012 Author Posted 23 April 2012 like Ferguson hasn't been doing this sort of thing for years. I know he has, but my point is - Mancini's version of it seem so childish. By doing this, he's trying to make it look like he's lost faith when even a non-football fan could tell you he hasn't. If anyone believed him then they need looking at.

ScouseFox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 All I'll say is whether you think it's coincidence or not, since he first said the season was over and that United have won the title, they've dropped 5 points you wouldn't expect, and City have dropped 0. Say more crazy shit and the league is yours, Roberto.
Jaspa Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Anything could happen on Monday Winner takes all Up and down form The previous tie at the Etihad this season Uncertain players and managers. Heart wants City to win because of my pure hatred for United, but my head says United because the bookies will make a killing
AyewJoking Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Is it me or is Alex Ferguson more gracious in defeat/dropped points these days?
