leicesterisme Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 I know he's just scored but how Zigic made it as a professional footballer is beyond me.
Legend_in_blue Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 So frustrating watching that and thinking it should be us...
Matt Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 So frustrating watching that and thinking it should be us... Should it? Explain.
Legend_in_blue Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 Should it? Explain. I thought you were one of the optimistics?
Fox92 Posted 10 May 2012 Author Posted 10 May 2012 How does holloway do it? Average team at best and there playing a perfect game here 3-0 on agg game over! I really think they could do west ham as well The answer is in your question.."Average team at best".. Blackpool, just like Norwich and Swansea, don't have a team of overpaid 'superstars'. Most of the players are lower league, probably lower paid, hungry players. Just like our team when we made the play offs. And this is what, I think, Nigel is attempting to bring back... get rid of the overpriced players and get in young and hungry players. I think Blackpool will beat West Ham as well.
Kitchandro Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Haven't people realised what a shit league this is? Blackpool are a decent side amongst a bunch of average ones. It's no surprise at all that they've got to the play-off final again, especially as they're still getting parachute payments, and they didn't change their team much when they got promoted so they've still got most that got them up 2 years ago, with some noteable exceptions. He's done well to have a club like that punching above it's weight but you don't need to be great to get to where they are this season.
fadedfox Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 West Ham completely murdered Blackpool twice this year winning 4-0 and 4-1 and had their keeper sent off in the away game! Allardyce has them sussed, they only have 1 way off playing and have no plan B. They only scrapped past a poor brum. It will take a lot for pool to win next sat.
Kitchandro Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 I'm just watching this Stevenage Sheff Utd match. I was thinking, do referees not stop their watches for substitutions in stoppage time? Because managers always seem to do it to waste time, yet it seems completely ridiculous to me that this should be able to happen. That's about the only talking point from the game.
MC Prussian Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 The MK Dons stadium is maybe half-full. And that for a playoff game - just one more reason for me to support Huddersfield in this matchup.
leicesterisme Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 2-0 Huddersfield. Get in there! Half empty ground. Plastics.
Fox92 Posted 12 May 2012 Author Posted 12 May 2012 Yes the ground isn't full but why mock? What did you expect? They arn't a big club, and probably can't attrack that many fans. I want Huddersfield to get promoted anyway. Big club, always take great support away (4,000 at Stadium:MK today).

I don't want them anywhere near our league.
AdamN Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 They're not a fake club though, are they? Alright, the club came about in controversial circumstances, but while they're legally a continuation of the old Wimbledon club, all of Wimbledon's history is now credited to AFC Wimbledon and the fans of MK Dons are mostly Milton Keynes based. I'm all for them supporting their local club, instead of having another town full of Man Utd and Liverpool fans.

They never had a football club, and lots of clubs were offered to come and play at Milton Keynes, including Palace, Barnet, QPR etc, while Chartlon and Luton looked at the idea. But it was Wimbledon, with their new chairman, who decided to relocate. And as you say, they don't claim the history, which is still credited to Wimbledon. I will always support people who support their local team as well.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Back from dons game, I don't get why city fans wouldn't want to see dons get promoted, they've got a great manager and stadium, quick drive (although it's not looking likely) it's a good away day

Just because it's modern and big? It's boring and half empty. The only reason I can think of for why you think it's a good away day is because of that Gradel goal.we scored in the only time we've been. The other 3 teams would not have half empty stadiums in the Championship.
Soar Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Did anyone notice there was a bloke wearing a Hull shirt in the MK Dons section.
