Looked decent when I've seen him play a few times for them.

Be interesting to see if he can step up.

Yep, excited to see him play.

Also Leon Best has done cruciate ligament damage to his knee

Beaten Everton and Swansea to the signing of Rhys McCabe, sounds a very promising player!

Cracking little player, was one of Rangers stars last season. Would have loved him here, has the potential to be a very good Premier League player.

News from Watford....

GIANFRANCO ZOLA'S Hornets have received a perfect pre-season boost with confirmation of seven new signings today (Monday).

Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia and defender Fitz Hall have both signed one-year contracts with Watford, while five season-long loans - all using the strength of the Pozzo family network of clubs - have been agreed.

Midfielder Almen Abdi, along with forwards Matej Vydra and Steve Leo Beleck, have joined for 2012/13 from Champions League Serie A qualifiers Udinese.

Granada pair Daniel Pudil, a defender, and striker Ikechi Anya, will ply their trade at Vicarage Road on loan from the Spanish Primera Liga club.

Hornets' Technical Director Gian Luca Nani is pleased with the additions, and says there is more to come.

"We expect these players to make a very positive impact on Gianfranco Zola's squad," he said.

"We are constantly looking to add quality here for Watford, and this is a task which will be ongoing throughout the season."

Interesting to say the least....

Don't know whether anyone else has mentioned this earlier but Franck Moussa is on trial at Nottingham Forest.

Sky Sports sources understand Sheffield Wednesday have had a bid turned down by Nicklas Helenius.

The Danish striker has been linked with a move to England throughout the summer and Leicester City and Hull City have both also been monitoring the situation.

Championship new-boys Wednesday have failed in their initial attempt to sign the AAB Aalborg man as they seek firepower for life back in the second tier.

The 21-year-old, who stands at 6ft 5in, was last season one of the top scorers in Denmark with 14 goals for AAB.

Premier League trio Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City have in the past all also been linked with Helenius to give a reflection of his talent.

Mackail-Smith to Leeds :D

Wouldn't be a massive loss if he went to be fair , best of luck to him but at times he's been like the invisible man for us.

Poor Blackpool though , Paynter, really??!?!?

Just read that Everton have paid £4.5m for him, 18 months after selling him to Spurs for £3m. So he hardly plays for 18 month and his value increases by £1.5m, how have Spurs pulled that one off!

I don't understand it either. He has been ok since resigning on loan, but Moyes is usually more aware with his signings. He is 30 as well.
