Asha Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 He needs to be somewhere playing 40+ Prem games a season if he has any ambition to play for England
Corky Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 SSN reporting that Liverpool have told Swansea they are ready to pay his £15million release clause. I know he's a tidy player, but I personally don't think he's worth that much... Clubs must love it when their player is linked with Liverpool.
Fox92 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 I know. Just looking on Liverpool forum, it appears they hate their transfer policy too. I mean, Allen was average last season, in an average side, just like Jordan Henderson before him, and now worth 15million pounds? I know Rodgers knows Allen, but it's a hell of a lot of cash.
Wymsey Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 I'm not sure on Fabio Borini either tbh. A lack of PL experience and just joining a club who apparently are an ''ambitious'' club may hinder his chance of doing well during the upcoming season.

Lucas worth 35 million?
Leicfox Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 A waste of money wouldn't it be better to play Jonjo Shelvey? Very true. Shelvey should move as he never gets a chance. He'd make a great signing for a lot of clubs.
Brown Fox Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 I'm not sure on Fabio Borini either tbh. A lack of PL experience and just joining a club who apparently are an ''ambitious'' club may hinder his chance of doing well during the upcoming season. There'll be a lot of pressure on him. With Carroll possibly on his way out, no other recognised strikers other than Suarez as well as a midfield that without Gerrard cannot create diddly squat they'll struggle. And as much as I rate Suarez he's not an out and out goalscorer and can't see Suarez getting more than 15-16 goals imo.
Fox92 Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 SSN reporting DJ Campbell heading over to Blackpool for talks...
Apollo Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 BBC saying Bellamy about to rejoin Cardiff on a free transfer.
Simo86 Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Alou Diarra signing for West Ham. Good signing IMO
Fox92 Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Bellamy signs for Cardiff on a two-year deal. Hopefully dream team's updated, he's going straight in
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Lukaku to west brom on a season long loan!
Tielemans63 Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Simon Cox having a medical at Forest today - £2 million transfer. Not sure what to make of Forest's recruitment drive.
RedHux Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Simon Cox having a medical at Forest today - £2 million transfer. Not sure what to make of Forest's recruitment drive. I believe the correct reaction is to quake in fear. ..that or mild indifference. Anyway, nothing's official until our new Kuwaiti overlord tweets it.
RedHux Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Our most esteemed leader has spoken: Fawaz AL Hasawi â€@Fawaz_alhasawi Welcome to republic of Ireland international striker Simon cox ,who has joined us from west brom. He is our seventh signing of the summer Yay!
Tom17LCFC Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 The thing with Forest is they're not signing a load of big names like we did, but more average/good championship players. Not got a clue how they'll fare this year.
RedHux Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 The thing with Forest is they're not signing a load of big names like we did, but more average/good championship players. Not got a clue how they'll fare this year. This approach is much applauded by most Forest fans though. Big names are very hit and miss, and the sensible but steady building process is I think the way to go.
Fox92 Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Jarvis hand's in transfer request at Wolves. El Hadji Diouf signs for Leeds The thing with Forest is they're not signing a load of big names like we did, but more average/good championship players. Nothing wrong with that. If you can the right manager, average/lower league players can turn out to be good.
Guesty Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Diouf signing for Leeds. Never has a player, manager, owner and club been more suited for each other.
Richard Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Apparently Warnock described Diouf as a "sewer rat" before. That transfer can only go well
Basingstoke Fox Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 This approach is much applauded by most Forest fans though. Big names are very hit and miss, and the sensible but steady building process is I think the way to go. Most definitely, you could say that we are an example of that to a certain extent.
Fox92 Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Apparently Warnock described Diouf as a "sewer rat" before. That transfer can only go well Oh yeah, he did. I forgot that. QPR were in the Championship and played Blackburn in the FA Cup. Think Mackie broke his leg in two places actually.
Fox92 Posted 11 August 2012 Posted 11 August 2012 Barton to Fleetwood collapses I read somewhere that Blackpool are considering an offer for Barton.
