Those four, Simon Gillett and Greg Halford.

Ayala's only a loan though. As for the Kuwaitis, their clubs have accepted an offer of around £1m for both the ones we want and now it's in the hands of the work permit people.

Well lets hope they don't gel immediately like our muppets last season !

A forest fan at work rates Guedioura really highly and says he was one of the reasons they stayed up last season.

He's right. Easily a class above. Can tackle, can pick a pass, runs about all day long. Is somewhat prone to shoot from 40yrds with mixed results (he won goal of the season for two different clubs last year), but he played a massive part in us staying up.

I rate Guedioura and Halford. Would happily have both here.

I wouldnt have had Halford, he seems to have a new club every year

That Guedioura looks decent though, but we have Marshall, Knockaert, Gally and of course Lloyd

Will be watching their 'progress' this coming season

Halford always seems to pop up with a goal from somewhere for a RB and has an enormous long throw.

Guedioura is a centre mid.

They've been in talks for weeks, if not months. Was first reported on SSN weeks ago and Whelan was even commenting on the 'speculation'.

Well, fair enough then. No idea how this has passed me by.

Fletcher has handed a transfer request into Wolves, he confirmed it on twitter lol

Joined Burnley, then left when they got relegated to join Wolves but has handed a transfer request in following their relegation. Loyal!

SSN reporting that Liverpool have told Swansea they are ready to pay his £15million release clause.

I know he's a tidy player, but I personally don't think he's worth that much...

Liverpool love paying extortionate prices though, you can't be that surprised.

Absolutely ridiculous. How on earth Joe Allen is worth that it's stupid. £3-4 million tops. Fees for British players are so ridiculous these days. A Liverpool midfield of Adam Downing Henderson and potentially Allen would cost £61 million. Whereas Newcastles midfield of Tiote Cabaye Obertan and Ben Arfa costs about £15 million.

Absolutely love watching Liverpool fail. Would put money on Rodgers going by Christmas as well.

I agree. It's nice to see the bigger clubs go for British players, but you're comparison to Newcastle is correct and sums it up for me.

It will be interesting to see how Rodgers does. Think they won in Europa League the other day.

I don't like to see Liverpool fail though. My favourite Premier League side.

I'd go as far to say as that Liverpool midfield wouldn't look out of place in a team vying for a top ten finish. I used to like Liverpool with the likes of Owen, Fowler, Alonso etc. but after Daglish took back over I couldn't help but really dislike them.

I do feel sorry for Rodgers though. If it doesn't go well for him pretty fast he'll get crucified.

:yesyes: Wrong career move imo, if true.

Big mistake.

Not good enough to start week in week out for them. He needs to be somewhere playing 40+ Prem games a season if he has any ambition to play for England

He will do well to find a club that play over 40 prem games a year lol
