Hulk rumoured to have signed for Chelsea. Really hope it's true, would be nice to see a touch more world class to the PL.

Eden Hazard narrows it down to Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea and says he will base his decision on who can offer him the most playing time.... he really is starting to piss me off now lol

"The final choice also depends on how much play that I would get and the position where I play.

Not everyone can say that he can choose from these three clubs."

What a knob.

Transfers starting to go through now so here's a thread to just keep everything together...

http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18066863 - Scholes signs new 1-year deal.

http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/17880807 - Marin to Chelsea

http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/17895063 - Podolski to Arsenal

I hope for Chelsea's sake the Marin transfer doesn't go up in smoke.

Why do people think that players who try and get the best deal for themselves are knobs? I can only think it's jealousy. You know nothing about them, their background or current situation.

I'd be doing exactly the same and so would 99% of Joe Public if they were in his shoes. It's completely his prerogative and if the manager told him that he'd be primarily used from the bench in the first season that's a completely fair call. Similarly if he wants to play him behind the striker and Hazard feels he is an out and out wide player. And if it's to do with that last comment, then you're assuming the context of that to be negative, again seemingly out of bitterness. It is just as likely to be privileged as it is arrogant.

Reminds me of some of the ignorant comments all over twitter/football threads after it was announced Drogba was leaving. "Greedy", "Selfish", "Disloyal", "Only cares about money". lol This about a player who grew up in Africa and is one of the most selfless footballers to date when it comes to charity work not only with fundraising but his own money as well.

Just amuses me how people are so judgmental and quick to berate people they have no idea about.

Spot on.

You rarely see players publicly admit they've got three of the worlds biggest clubs after him and all he's said was he wants to go wherever he will get played the most out of the 3.

Why pes that make him a knob?

I only called him that due to him turning it into a bloody X-factor style show... he has made an announcement once a week for the last three weeks narrowing it down from 8 clubs to 3 lol.

It wasn't you that said he was a knob.

It was AKCJ. Hazard is a very talented player and deserves to be playing at the highest level imo.

To be fair, most of the time people assume players are just coming out announcements all the time when in reality they've been persistently asked by the media or their agents have slipped out a few personal quotes from them to up the ante.

Well I did say he was pissing me off :P, its been a long day!

He absolutely does deserve it! I was going to say Chelsea was most likely but they have already signed Marin in his position and he does seem like a United player, style of play, position etc.

Well from 8 to 2, and then up to 3

It is getting quite annoying, he should keep that type of business to himself and his agents

lol

I agree that he'd be more suited to United than City, but the idea of Mata and Hazard tearing up the wings for Chelsea, is quite frankly...scary.

According to Metro Arsenal have made a £6.5m + Marouane Chamakh bid for Olivier Giroud.

Does Wenger deliberately try to insult any club he puts an offer to. Giroud's valued at least £18m.

Another Frog on the Tyne....

The 22-year-old will become a Magpie on 1 July, once his contract with Reims expires, and can play in central midfield or out wide.

He said: "I am very happy to be a Newcastle player.

"When a club like Newcastle wants you to play for them it can only be a good thing. I have taken the opportunity to play in the Premier League and cannot wait to get going."
