Jace Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 It was £42 for the LS shirt last year. Thats inflation for you Heggsy, I remember back in the day in the 90s when I was a teenager you could buy an adults shirt for £39.99
Guest Bilo Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 Aren't shirts always £40? £2 isn't a massive difference to be fair.
Matt Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 It was £42 for the LS shirt last year. TBH over 10 years I don't think there has been that much of a rise on shirts - Not 100% sure but I thought it has normally been between £30 - £40 (Infact i'm not even sure they have ever been as low as £30 in my time?) Yes between £30 and £40 is a £10 difference but say it has gone up that much over 10 years that is a £1 rise every year. Compare that to many other things that rise due to inflation and it's not that bad, like I say thought tbh I think they have always been nearer the £40 mark than £30, so when you look at it I doubt they really ever go up in price that much.
HEGGSY Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 I wasn't complaining, It was just a sweeping statement, so to speak. In all honesty, £2 is nothing nowadays.
dave_the_fox Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 Weren't the one year cycle shirts £30 or maybe £35? I cant remember!
Jace Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 Training wear! Fantastic contribution to the conversation!
goose2010 Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 42.99 for a shirt that you can wear once a week sometimes even twice a week, that doesn't matter if you walk out of the house and your mates wearing the same shirt? Plus take ur 10% if your're a season ticket holder.....it's not bad really is it!

Although I quoted your post I wasn't aiming it at you, I was agreeing and backing it up. I suppose I should have quoted MattandJon, WattoLCFC and JACE_HOBBS.
Carter The Boss Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 As long as its better quality than last years kit then I don't mind the increase, always thought shirts were around £40 anyway

Hopefully get the same again, even if the shirt was £50 most of us would buy it.

Jace Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 has anybody noticed at the bottom of the page it has the Puma, King Power and Singha Beer logos, could Singha be the away kit sponsor? Also to anybody else who may of thought I was being serious complaining about the £2 increase between 1994 and 2012 in football shirt prices, I was indeed taking the piss
Leicester Lass Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 Danns said on his Spitter2 app they've got a kit photo shoot on Wednesday.
HEGGSY Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 Danns said on his Spitter2 app they've got a kit photo shoot on Wednesday. Released Friday then?
kyleolly Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 has anybody noticed at the bottom of the page it has the Puma, King Power and Singha Beer logos, could Singha be the away kit sponsor? Singha were on the billboards outside the ground alongside king power and burrda last season i think that's just wishful thinking on your part Jace
