lcfcsnow Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 This no striker formation is a joke, boring. Come on Croatia.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 It just doesn't make any sense. He's brought on a quick winger to beat his man, get to the bye line and then look up and see 4 Croatian defenders and no striker. I really fĂșcking want Croatia to score.
Ashley Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 This commentator in the Croatia v Spain game is terrible. He needs sacking.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 "and here comes Ivan Perisic, who's just won the double with Borussia Dortmund in Italy". Jesus wept.
purpleronnie Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Say what you like about England having negative tactics and not being particularly fun to watch but bloody hell Spain are so boring. At least when England do have the ball we try and get it forward and score. This is like torture. Yeah one match...nothing like a good old generalisation.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Yeah one match...nothing like a good old generalisation. They've been boring to watch for at least 3 years against decent opposition. I can tell you for sure my opinion on them being incredibly boring is based on much, much more than one match.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Yeah one match...nothing like a good old generalisation. Including today, Spain have 14 goals in their last 13 tournament games, 4 of which came against Ireland.
AyewJoking Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Yeah one match...nothing like a good old generalisation. IMO Spain are boring most of the time. Is this really what England aspire to, keep the ball but offer no end product?
HEGGSY Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 This "boring" football has led to consecutive Euro and World Cup glory. Stupid formation and tactics? Yes. Boring? Maybe.
purpleronnie Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 IMO Spain are boring most of the time. Is this really what England aspire to, keep the ball but offer no end product? If aspire you mean win tournaments then yes.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 This "boring" football has led to consecutive Euro and World Cup glory. Stupid formation and tactics? Yes. Boring? No. It is boring. It was boring at the last world cup and it's boring today. They hardly thrilled in beating Ireland either
HEGGSY Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 It is boring. It was boring at the last world cup and it's boring today. They hardly thrilled in beating Ireland either Ok, maybe it is boring, but its effective.
Finnegan Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 What the **** has Fernando Llorente got to do? They've even brought a pacey winger on who could give him service. Del Bosque needs to just admit his six man midfield was a bad idea and let it go.

With players like him in the squad they could be doing so much more with those creative players in support.
Finnegan Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 I like Spain but this IS boring. They've gotten TOO obsessed with tiki taka. Even Barca aren't this hardcore, Alves, Messi, Sanchez, Villa, Henry, Eto'o, over the years they've always had players running with and without the ball. This is just madness. The whole point was originally to be entertaining but now they've gone too far. They're trying so hard to be perfect they've forgotten something vital. They've forgotten to have fun.
AyewJoking Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 They have won the last two tournaments but teams are wise to them now. You have to be negative if you dont want to lose against Spain. This results in boring football.
Finnegan Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 A through ball, finally, and ****ing BUSQUETES is the furthest forwards!? Sort it out!!! Ffs this is more frustrating than watching city. Jogi Love, come save me.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 If they had Llorente on they'd have somewhere to go at the end of their 400 passes. They work it wide, back in the middle, back out wide, back into the middle, back out wide, back into the middle until they get to the edge of the area and there's about 18 players within 10 yards of each other and even Iniesta etc. can't cope with that. If Llorente was on they could work it wide, whip it in and score a fĂșcking goal. I reckon we could take Spain if they played like this against us. Not even joking.
MooseBreath Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 The spain game us excruciatingly dull. Beyond dull. Reminds me the scene in the Simpsons causes the fans to fall asleep. The Italy game is much better.
Finnegan Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 To be fair, Croatia are a lot more well drilled and experienced than England would be. I'd still back Spain to beat you, especially over 120 minutes.

purpleronnie Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 spain would beat us easily, I'd prefer italy or croatia.
