Jaspa Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 Want one of the biggies out, but I still see Croatia as a team that can cause a big upset Hope Trapattoni can show why he has such a pedigree, and crush a lackluster Italy Honestly cant predict what will happen
shen Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Another Euro 2004/'Nordic fix'? Wonder what the odds are of that
KFS Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Croatia to nick a 1-0 against Spain and Italy to beat Ireland. Can you imagine!
Wycombe Fox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Italy (v Republic of Ireland) Win - Secures qualification if Spain or Croatia win or is a scoreless draw. If that game is a 1-1 draw, then Italy need to better or equal Croatia's 3-1 win over Ireland. If they equal it, Italy will go through because they are ranked higher than Croatia by Uefa. However, if Spain and Croatia draw 2-2 or more then Italy are out. Draw - Out. Lose - Out. I didn't realise the UEFA rankings counted for anything other than seeding.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 For england's sake i'm hoping spain get knocked out....here's hoping
shen Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Italy (v Republic of Ireland) I didn't realise the UEFA rankings counted for anything other than seeding. I'm pretty sure it doesn't. It's the fairplay ranking in the tournament that counts. If both sides are completely equal in all respects, there will be penalty shootouts (if the two teams involved for the final quali place are playing eachother in the final game) or drawing of lots.
Matt Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 I've bet on Spain and Italy, because that's what I think will happen, but would like a Croatia win/draw and Italy loss, then hope England do the buisness and top our group thus getting Croatia in the next round. Croatia still wouldn't be an easy game, far from it - If anything we may under estimate then and it could be the worse thing for us, but if you were offered to play Spain or Croatia, i'd pick Croatia.
Finnegan Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 I think that's an absolutely stunning tackle from Ramos and I normally think he's a twat.
shen Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Good call by the lino/5th official (shame he wasn't officiating in our game yesterday )
Corky Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 STOP CALLING DAVID SILVA DAVID VILLA OMG. Mick McCarthy called Keith Andrews "Ian Andrews", so it's not just one commentator.
Nick Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Have you been getting high with El Empty? Spain by two, comfortably. Where are you Sosban? 0-0 Could happen!
Tom17LCFC Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 I swear when they were running through the teams before kick-off, one of the commentators referred to Silva as 'Chelsea's David Villa'. Surely I was hearing things.
Jimothy Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 I'm sure Simon Brotherton said Cassano scored in first game against Italy, when I'm pretty sure it was Di Natalie.
Guest shearfox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 If Croatia score , Spain could be heading out.... very exciting...
davieG Posted 18 June 2012 Author Posted 18 June 2012 Dunno whats up with Given, at fault again. Agree, he's looked poor most of the tourno.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Say what you like about England having negative tactics and not being particularly fun to watch but bloody hell Spain are so boring. At least when England do have the ball we try and get it forward and score. This is like torture.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Croatia should have scored. Gutted. Would've been boss to see Spain go out.
